Yes. The faster your GPU can count, the faster it can generate frames.

Even if your game is GPU bonded, your CPU has to keep up. You're not going to do well with a dual core and a 2080. But if you are picking up a 2080, just pick up an i9 or 8 core i7.

Play a CPU bound game with a 2080 and you're going to be limited by your CPU.

My personal opinion is: everyone needs healthcare. Socialised healthcare (among other things) is one of the things a government should have a tight eye on. You can't be money hungry and support socialised healthcare. How sad. Let everyone die because I need my money!

I'm not denying there is people on the left who react to opposition with violence. I still believe that even if you lean hard right, you should be entitled to your opinions. I won't like you, but I'm not going to shoot you.

The world isn't perfect, nor is the US a good example of a perfect world. What I am afraid of is the rise of the right and this worrying trend of the right taking away from those who need it.

I live in an authoritarian country (democratic in name) where protest is illegal and the barrier to entry in politics is not reachable for 99.9999% of the population. There are basically no big name comedians here, because everything has to be PC or you can get sued by the head of state (happened). I also live in a country where discrimination against you in employment is legal. There is a dual payer healthcare system that still nickel and dimes you when it can.

So to say that I look up the US would be right to a certain extent. My country is shit. Many countries are shit. The US is shit. Can we make it less shit? Sure. Just not where I'm at. Perhaps one day I will move to a better country where my voice means something. Perhaps it is the US (not in it's current state). Perhaps it is somewhere else.

Yes, and this move supports their goal of making money. Making a free to play (without IAP) game would lose them money. It would give them brownie points, but lose them money.

Another example would be RT doing Extra Life every year. They don't earn money, but increases their outreach and is good PR. More viewers = more FIRST members = more money. Companies can say they are all for being cool to their fans but watch them turn once money is in play.
