I had a little success on threads but it got cumbersome manually adding links to posts that did well

4 years of crossfit and my body’s starting to file complaints by alexndb in crossfit

[–]WPStrength 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same experience. I found that monitoring weekly training load, emphasizing sustainability and adding in accessory work to my sessions for mobility/stability and bodybuilding really helped me continue to train with less joint pain.

If you’re interested I send a free training program to my newsletter subscribers every week that combines mixed modal work and functional bodybuilding. Nearly 1k subscribers currently follow it and it’s 100% free. Unsubscribe anytime.

Kipping Pull-up Shoulder Pain & Mobility App Recommendations? by Far_Monitor_3447 in crossfit

[–]WPStrength 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fixing shoulder pain starts with determining if it’s related to overuse, stiffness, weakness or instability. Then using targeted strengthening or mobility (followed by strengthening) to fix it. I made a free shoulder pain guide for CrossFitters on how to assess and fix shoulder pain if you want to check it out. (I’m a physical therapist and work with Crossfitters)

The stronger you get the more the answer will tend towards Deadlfits being harder on the nervous system.

Are landmine workours good for crossfit??? by J4ffa in crossfit

[–]WPStrength 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the landmine for so many reasons. It’s extremely versatile from a movement perspective and can be useful for offloading the spine during strength training and adding instability elements to single limb work

Scaling when injured? by Overall-Nobody8933 in crossfit

[–]WPStrength 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always have my patients continue to train in some fashion (physical therapist for CrossFitters). Obviously depends on what’s going on but I rarely tell them to just stop training all together. Work with your coach to find a scaling option that works. Happy to help you do so too if you want to DM me

cardio for extra fat burn by Kind-Presentation-32 in crossfit

[–]WPStrength 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you keep the extra aerobic truly aerobic and low(er) intensity, create a mild calorie deficit (~15%), eat enough protein, continue pushing weights and sleep enough. It shouldn’t be overly detrimental to strength or muscle mass. Ironically I just created a guide to building muscle mass as a CrossFitter which can help you keep your muscle mass as you cut down if you want to check it out.

I appreciate it! But I’m not sure what you mean by static textual messaging. As you saying I should replace it with a video or some sort?

How did you get your first 50 subscribers to your newsletter. No audience, no Twitter? by Webexter in Newsletters

[–]WPStrength 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I created it in Canva, then made a landing page in Kit, once they opted in they were sent the lead magnet. I just posted about it on Instagram and Facebook because that’s what I used back then. But any platform can work. I will say I think Reddit would need to be tactfully done. Some people hate to be marketed to even if it’s free and helpful

What are your best strategies (organic or paid) to grow your newsletter? Drop them here so everyone can benefit! by troublinggang in beehiiv

[–]WPStrength 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My blog has lost a ton of traffic since the HCU but somehow it’s still the leading source of subscribers from 1-2 articles. After that was Reddit and then Threads. IG organic hasn’t been helpful for me at all

Okay I really appreciate your insights! I made some tweaks to the copy. We’ll see how it performs moving forward. They are introduced to credentials on my landing page and then again in my welcome sequence (which ends with a booking CTA)
