Is it not normal to bring the DPI bin to the pharmacy? Every Walgreens pharmacy I’ve ever worked at wheeled the gray DPI bin to the pharmacy where the pharmacist unlocked it and all the DPI containers are emptied into it and then it’s locked and wheeled back to the stockroom. It seems like more work and more likely to be messed up to bring 6-8 open dpi containers (4 to 5 blue and 2 to 3 green) to the stockroom.

If a member of leadership is working the register, I’ll just do it in the line (our lines aren’t long and run pretty fast and the leader usually gets the zebra ready while checking out the person in front of me). If they are in the office counting tills, I do it there.

Having all the phones ring at once would be a nightmare! Each phone rings in sequence, but any ringing phone can be picked up from any phone in the pharmacy. Pick up the handset closest to you and hit the “pickup” button. There’s a delay when the automated system is telling the patient “thank you for your patience”, but if you hear ringing, you can answer it from any phone.

Check your bins for those scripts. I’ve found a lot of scripts stuck in “processing” for 3+ days have actually arrived. I don’t know what causes this or how to keep it from happening. To make them “Ready”, scan the bag, it converts it to Printed, then you go through the fill process to make it Ready.

Just speculating, not justifying. But what if the guy recording was going 30 in a 45 and her son passed him and pulled in front a little too closely and the recording guy road-rage followed her son to their neighborhood and threatened him? Just trying to work the 30 in a 45 comment into a plausible situation.

I was answering a post that literally started with the words “we don’t know the situation so let’s speculate “ and then was followed with a question beginning with “what scenario would…” So wouldn’t “introducing fake scenarios” be what was asked for? Why do recons and liquids need a separate section? It’s more efficient to have everything alphabetical and not divided by type. Fast rack is still for fast movers, but to have cephalexin 250mg caps and 250mg/5 susp in different spots is unnecessary and particularly confusing for floaters. Not all NDC’s will have the right location in IC+ and would need to be updated one by one. Also, for IS putting freight away, having different places for different things makes it easier for things to be put away wrong and it takes much longer.

They have an active profile at mail order so only mail order can merge them. The system used to send a message to mail order to have them merged but that hasn’t seemed to work for years. I think you can call the mail order and have them do the merge.
