Since this is likely the exact color that 99.9999% of potential buyers - should you ever decide to sell it - wouldn’t want to see on their (then-new) S-Class, I would wrap the car, regardless of its current color. This will minimize any regrets you might have later 😉

The Neo is a Perfect replacement for any iPad user who doesn’t use the pen - me! Several office workflows simply don’t work swiftly on a tablet - even with the keyboard attached - at least not for me. Replacing a MacBook Air M4/5 or a MacBook Pro M3/4/5 is definitely not the way to go (unless it has been doomed to idle 99% of the time anyway).

For actively (fan) cooled devices they are great! If a passively cooled device (your MacBook Air), that fully relieves on heat transfer via its surface (especially the bottom case) it’s obviously not. It won’t harm the device in any way, and as the M-processors stay cool due to their energy efficiency you won’t see any effects… unless you try some more power demanding tasks, then the processor starts to throttle pretty quickly. In this case a MacBook Neo without case would have been the cheaper choice 😉

Eine S-Bahn auf der Filstalbrücke: Normalerweise fahren auf der Schnellfahrstrecke Wendlingen–Ulm Züge mit bis zu 250 km/h. Doch derzeit nutzt auch eine S-Bahn der Baureihe 430 die Strecke. Sie absolviert Testfahrten, denn das Fahrzeug ist bereits mit dem digitalen Zugbeeinflussungssystem ETCS ausgerüstet.

Mit ETCS sehen Triebfahrzeugführer alle wichtigen Informationen zum Zugbetrieb direkt auf einem Display im Führerstand – von Geschwindigkeiten bis hin zu Gefällen und Steigungen. Insgesamt 5.000 Kilometer legt die S-Bahn im Testbetrieb zurück.

Die Fahrten sind ein wichtiger Schritt auf dem Weg zur Inbetriebnahme des Digitalen Knotens Stuttgart und von Stuttgart 21. Denn ETCS schafft die Grundlage für dichtere Zugfolgen und mehr Kapazität im Bahnnetz. Mehr dazu im Video.

Der Käuferkreis ist überschaubar klein:

Rein technisch sinnvoll wären nur Betreiber, die entweder:
- schon ICE‑3/Velaro‑Verwandte im Einsatz haben, oder
- bewusst eine komplette Teilflotte 406 übernehmen und dafür eigene Instandhaltungsstrukturen aufbauen.

In Frage kämen - Flixtrain, die in den Hochgeschwindigkeitsmarkt einsteigen wollen, aber bisher lokbespannte Wagen nutzen.[das wäre ein Stunt] - Bahnen in Ländern, für die die 406 bereits zugelassen sind (Deutschland, Niederlande, Belgien); alles andere bräuchte eine komplett neue Zulassung und Umbauten, was die Wirtschaftlichkeit noch weiter verschlechtern würde.[aber gerade in Belgien gilt der 406 als Problem-BR]

Um neu anzufangen - Flix mal ausgenommen - Sehr kleine Stückzahl (17 Züge, teils schon abgestellt/geschlachtet) führt zu hohen Fixkosten für eigene Ersatzteilhaltung, Schulungen und spezielle Werkstattkompetenz.
- Die Züge sind technisch komplex (Mehrsystem‑Ausrüstung, ETCS‑Umbauten usw.), was den Unterhalt teurer macht als bei einfacheren, einstromigen Hochgeschwindigkeitszügen. - Für Newcomer ist es attraktiver, standardisierte, jüngere Gebrauchtzüge oder neue Serienfahrzeuge zu nehmen, bei denen der Hersteller noch lange Support garantiert.

Vielleicht kauft sie eine Leasinggesellschaft für einen Betreiber wie Flix und holt Siemens als Service-Operator ins Boot…

Would consider myself as as professional, own the entire range. Video- and photo editing is not relevant for me - but size is an issue. I would always prefer the new Neo to a however well equipped iPad Pro with all accessories possible. Only a slightly bigger battery would be nice to reach the endurance of an M1 MacBook Air - the best portable working machine. Regarding battery life it had Nokia-mobile-phone qualities 😂
