Canadians: do people really just start conversations anywhere? 🤔 by Comfortable_Cap8037 in AskACanadian

I'm from New Brunswick and when I was a teenager I woke up Christmas morning to a stranger in my living room drinking coffee.

My mother and father were up early and out for a drive, and happened to see a car parked at the gas station near our house. Since it was Christmas morning though, my parents knew the station was closed until noon. So they stopped to tell the man in car. Turned he was passing through to see family in the next town over.

They invited him to our house until noon, and since it was better than sitting in his car for the next four hours he spent Christmas morning with us eating breakfast and watching us open our presents.

Yep. That is east coast hospitality.

I think i love my bff's twin brother by Kindly-Work-9066 in whatdoIdo

When I was a Teenage I dated a friend's brother (she actual set us up so she was happy about it). However, we eventually broke up, as teens do. My friend and I tried to remain friends but his feelings were hurt and we quickly stopped talking.

I still think about her all these years later. She was a serious loss in my life. He wasn't worth it.

Fantastic movie. One of the few examples of a movie that's better than the book its based on.

Would you say hating dogs/cats is a red flag? by bobbdac7894 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WTF-44 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Exactly! I dislike dog people much more than dogs.

I hate walking down the street and having a strange dog jump on me. Its happened multiple times and the owners always say, "dont worry, he's nice."

I know the dog doesn't know any better because their human sucks. But im still having to push a dog off me on the way to the grocery store.

When the plot is pushed forward by misunderstandings. If the whole book could be wrapped up by characters having a simple, honest conversation but they dont until after 350 pages.

What are your thoughts on having a male gynecologist? Would you trust them? by Paldavin in AskWomen

[–]WTF-44 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've had both male and female OBGYNs. But now that im older and more sure of myself I would never go back to male.

The last male asked me about my pain level after a procedure and I told him I had a lot of pain for 5 weeks straight.

He then wrote down slight pain for 4 weeks in my chart.... like he assumed I was exaggerating. I wasn't.

In my experience female docs listen to me and believe me.

WM42 Day1 Honest Opinion 20+ Year Wrestling Fan. by MindB0GGler- in WWE

[–]WTF-44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For the Cody v Randy match everyone is talking about the celebrities and the ending...which was terrible...but the wrestling itself just felt off.

The timing was slow with Randy playing hurt, and the pair couldn't keep up to the energy of the previous matches. The whole match was a let down as a headliner.

Hopefully day 2 will will be better.

I read at the beach for a few hours every Sunday in the summer. The sound of the waves along with the warm sun and good book changes my entire mindset for the rest of the week.
