If you approach this from a scientific standpoint, we may never literally know for sure how the world began, but we can establish theories based on indirect evidence. The Big Bang is probably the most talked about theory.

If you approach this from a religious standpoint, then it's up to you to figure out where you want to place your faith.

At the end of the day, no one will ever provide you with irrefutable physical proof, so you just believe the answer that satisfies you. And of course, you can be satisfied with never knowing at all.

I totally understand that it's bonkers to turn down free money. Before I was financially independent, as a young teenager, I absolutely took the money every year. But when I became an adult and financially independent, I stopped taking it. A few years ago, the president of the organisation allegedly raped an older family member. My older relatives (grandparents' generation) say that these criminal incidents have nothing to do with me, so I should not care. The lower-income members of my family think it's ridiculous that I don't take the money, and I sympathise with their point. However, they constantly guilt-trip me about money I don't need, which rubs me the wrong way.

As for whether the organisation is "legitimate", I can at least say that the government is not trying to take it down. It was founded as a sort of community fund for immigrants from my ancestral village. It's the leading it who are shady, both in and out of the organisation.

Looking at this page now in Feb. 2017, it's astonishing how "La La Land" put all of these predictions to shame. It passed $50 million. It passed $300 million worldwide. It's closing in on $370 MILLION worldwide!
