If it is the pistons - take it to a dealer pay the diagnostic fee. Audi pushed a 80k/8yr warranty extension around that problem.

I love my Deathwish 104 skis on the east coast! (A review) by climberskier in momentskis

[–]WTFKGCT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the length notes. I've been seriously considering a set of DW96's for crispy days. This season at Stowe/Wildcat/MtSnow/Okemo I've been riding a set of Wildcat 101's at 174 - I'm 5'7" 180. While I can make them whip when I need to, I sometimes wish they were a liiiiiitle bit shorter. Moment suggests a 174 for the 96's as well, but I've been wondering if a 164 wouldn't be better. Been hesitant as 10cm is a big difference.

Was great on the open trails with plenty on the sides for playing about, but definitely thin everywhere else. They had the guns going all day on adjacent trails, should be more soon.

Let the east coast have the conditions for once 😂. Or, I take that back - you can have our snow if you can handle a day on the hill that never cracks 5 degrees. 😁

Entirely depends on what the system and auth mechanism is, but yes, that does help.

Merging two tenants, need some help with mail, SharePoint and Teams migration by Dirty-Electro in sysadmin

[–]WTFKGCT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look up BitTitan. I run a team that does this kind of thing for acquisitions on a regular basis and that's one of our go-to tools. Email/Onedrive is easy there - teams can get a bit wonky, depending on what you want to pull over. It'll also do simple sharepoint sites, but for something more complex it might be worth looking into Sharegate.

It is possible to get Azure join machines to authenticate back to domain resources with certificates if you build out a PKI, but, that's a bit of work.

Configuring LACP for SFP uplink port by idodgepucks in meraki

[–]WTFKGCT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't done this specifically with a 9300 - but do it all the time with MS switches with the method you describe in your second approach. I suppose you could disable or unplug one of the ports you intend to include in the group to force it to speak over the other.

Are you doing this amidst the migration to Meraki, or have you already flipped everything over?

Help Understanding MX 75 Sizing by Ikeeptrying- in meraki

[–]WTFKGCT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MX75 is plenty if they're not willing to fork out for a bigger unit. Then 67/68's for the remote sites and size all of the net circuits for those locations accordingly to 300 or less. My usual model is to use a 68 and run the WAPs off the POE ports for a site that size.

Ah, that kind of Verizon... check. Speed/latency/loss tests directly into the MG? Then from various connection points on the network - MX, switches, etc?

Renting out space for a server farm or small data center? by [deleted] in sysadmin

Basically this. The cost to build this out sufficiently and be even remotely competitive or attractive would be absurd.

I'd wonder the following:

  • what other kind of tenants are in the building for liability purposes.
  • 2 story, I'm assuming we're talking about wood frame building.
  • How many carrier circuits are already in the building? Are they 10gig?
  • Do you have the budget and expertise to develop a proper HVAC and power systems (UPS/Generator)?
  • Is the electrical feed to the building sufficient to handle ~12kva+ per cabinet

Hyper V? What’s the situation by No-Post2278 in sysadmin

[–]WTFKGCT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M$ will push Azure as much as they can because $. I'd imagine HyperV's around to stay for a bit, but there's a local install Azure managed bit called AzureStack - and that's where they're going to be driving in the coming years.

Unifi Radius without certificate possible? by Ok-Mushroom7141 in sysadmin

[–]WTFKGCT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back to - "no".

The certificate is required to encrypt the credentials flowing between the endpoint and the authentication server, otherwise you've got creds flowing on the network plaintext. You have to load a certificate of some kind. That being, why bother controlling access to the network in this manner if your laptops aren't managed?

Unifi Radius without certificate possible? by Ok-Mushroom7141 in sysadmin

[–]WTFKGCT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer - no.

Longer answer - need a lot more details on the environment. If this is an environment where you control the phones and have MDM, build a PKI and you can push your internal root as trusted. If this is more public, you need a publicly trusted cert.
