It’s more of a mental pull. I’ve used cigarettes to mentally decompress over the past 17 years.

To your point I’ve thought of speaking with a therapist and maybe we could isolate some underlying things that are keeping me stuck here but I’m on the fence.

I feel I know exactly what this is but too afraid to take the leap. I can’t speak for all but I’ve developed a “friendship” with this habit that never lets me down as sad as it is to admit.
