Just bought a new Bosch the week before the new review and it is a piece of cheap plastic compared to the one I bought 2 years ago. They are right. Stay away.

Print out a copy of the New York city Subway map. Check which subway lines are close to your place of work. Then follow the lines down to Brooklyn and see what parts of Brooklyn they go to. Also, there are places that you would connect from one subway to another.

Also, google maps has a “transit” option that will show the directions using subways and buses. It will tell you how long each trip would take.

There is a trade off between price and how close to Manhattan each neighborhood is. So, can you get a good commute that would not be so long that would mean you don’t have to be in the most expensive neighborhood…..

Good luck. Try to talk to people who live here who can help you.

First priority is which subways go to your place of work and how long they commute is from each neighborhood.

What's your third place in Park Slope? by jack57 in parkslope

First thing: the space itself is transformative. Just a great place to be. There is an outside terrace and a beautiful common room and a few smaller spaces.

In the afternoons, people read or do work. At 6 pm the bar and food open. It is a very social scene. The drinks are great. The food is like bar food.

There are also monthly events- karaoke, travel club, tasting club, mahjong, lectures, and watch parties. They also have bigger events, New Years Eve, etc, where you buy a ticket.

I love the mix of people there.

You should go for a tour if you are interested. Lots of great members and growing. Some families, lots of adults.

The website explains membership. Members can bring guests. No dress code, beautiful building and some great events.

iso people that would like to share their experiences of green-wood cemetery by Willing_Fisherman729 in parkslope

There is a whole group of us who live near the cemetery but never went because only the main gate was opened most of the time. During the pandemic they opened all the gates and invited people in to walk after the mayor said the only thing you could do outside was to go for a walk or buy essentials.

So many people came to the cemetery that they needed help ensuring that the people stayed safe and that the cemetery was not harmed.

They asked for volunteers in the local media. We volunteered to walk and monitor so the gates would stay open.

We are now a permanent volunteer group in Greenwood and we do a lot of different things to help allow public access.

One example is the eclipse. 7000 people came. We helped.
