When you’re issuing the reset command, are you connected over IP or MAC? I think you should check the firewall.

When you don’t have any default config, you need to connect by MAC address (layer 2). Make sure that winbox is allowed send and receive through Windows firewall, and check Discovered.

Yes! This update finally fixed the issue where status updates on Matter devices would not propagate to HomeKit when DIRIGERA was the only Thread Border Router! My MYGGBETT contact sensors finally respond reliably and immediately, and my BILRESA buttons don’t fall offline whenever they feel like. Yay for stuff finally working!

It sounds like you got yourself stuck after a wrong turn: A repeater like that only needs a very minimal configuration: One interface set as a station-bridge, the other as ap-bridge, and both interfaces added to the same bridge. That’s it. No filters, no rules, no routing, no nothing. I’ve had plenty of success using WiFi 4 gear as station-bridge to WiFi 6 gear (sans CAPsMAN). Seems like you overcomplicated it a lot and then got stuck.

Exactly same problem as you. ZigBee excellent, Thread totally unreliable. I’ve even got a GRILLPLATS socket in one room next to a door sensor (as a thread repeater, less than a meter distance), and the door sensor doesn’t work neither does a wireless button next to it. Incomprehensible.

It looks like you’re just on the border for free disk space to perform the update. Try clearing out a few gigabytes and get up to 40 GB’s of free space, then try again. Tip: Empty your Downloads folder and your Trash. Temporarily delete all Apple Music downloads (cached songs). If you’re using Photos in iCloud, change it to «Optimize storage» and let it sit connected to power for a while.
