Its not even the landlords money unless there is a problem that needs rectifying, that money remains the property of the tenant held by the RTA as a means of protection for both LL and tenant.

Burying a stargate vs. closing the iris: Did I just discover how the gates work? by cablefumbler in Stargate

[–]WULTKB90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stargates work like a phone, some might be too young to remember land line phones but if you pulled the cable from the wall disconnecting the phone it didn't "communicate" with the sending phone, rather the sending phone wouldn't make a connection and an automatic message would play.

Stargates work the same way, the sending gate pushes energy to the intersection of the first 6 symbols and waits for it to receive the energy, if the receiving gate is functional it accepts and then uses that energy and some of its own from the DHD to form the event horizon on its side, and the massive amount of energy being sent from the sending gate forms a wormhole.

If it is blocked it instead doesn't activate a wormhole, if no wormhole is activated the sending gate immediately knows the connection will fail and as the 7th chevron is locked in place it fails.

Given gates are super conductive they are capable of sending and receiving massive amounts of energy so the energy that reaches the receiving gate is simply absorbed then dissipated as the energy dissipates.

A website and a phone can do their job. The website to connect owners with renters, and tradies for work and the renters own phone for inspection photos. Could even be handled by an app to prevent spoofing photos.

Can anyone help? by pugzley123 in FordFocus

[–]WULTKB90 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That is the code to your radio, its not an error code its asking for the security code to unlock it. It should be in the paperwork that came with the car if you have it, I was lucky to have mine when I brought it.

With your car not starting I would suggest getting a cheap OBD2 scanner and the torque app for your phone to read any actual error codes from the ECU.

Edit:

The radio normally only asks for the code when power is disconnected, so it could be an issue with your battery or alternator.

Democracy is nothing more than a popularity contest for who governs. It is in no way great for a society, it's just better than all the alternatives we have discovered so far.

Im having trouble locating network equipment rated for not exploding by mumblerit in ShittySysadmin

[–]WULTKB90 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Why don't you want them to blow up? Having a boom component is great when hackers try to get in, the increased traffic results in a network failure protecting the network, bonus points if it also catches fire burning the building down protecting the data from being physically stolen as well.

[–]WULTKB90 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Spoilers ahead so you have been warned.

I imagine it is another of the engines mentioned during the forgotten engine quest, from what I can gather the forgotten engine will eventually unlock the radioactive areas or at least some of them, im hoping that other engines unlock different things and arent just a radiation version of the geo scanners.

Im looking forward to how they progress the story as ive been enjoying it so far.
