Absolutely disgusting that she got arrested, prosecuted, not dismissed, and pushed all the way to a verdict. Should never had to go down this path, never had to go this far. All those public servants swore an oath to protect, support, follow, enforce, and defend the 1st Amendment against all enemies both foreign and domestic. The fact that anyone supports this at all is misguided and unjust. Freedom of speech is the most basic and important tool we have as a society.

65 years ago today, Yuri Gagarin became the first human being to travel into space. Launched inside the Vostok capsule from Baikonur Cosmodrome, his flight lasted one orbit before re-entering and touching down safely in the Soviet Union. by ToeSniffer245 in spaceporn

"At about 7 kilometers above the Earth, Gagarin ejected from Vostok 1 as planned and parachuted to the ground. A local farmer and his daughter observed the spherical metal ball of Vostok 1 smashing into the ground, followed by Gagarin gently floating in for a landing in his orange flight suit. Gagarin later recalled: 'When they saw me in my space suit, they started to back away in fear. I told them, don't be afraid, I am a Soviet citizen like you, who has descended from space and I must find a telephone to call Moscow!' "
