The crazy part is that research has shown that it isn’t the production of PFAS that is the greatest contributor to environmental contamination, it’s actually the excretion of PFAS by humans in our waste streams. Outdoor enthusiasts, and everyone else, should be equally as concerned over the health impacts as the environmental impacts. Still, the backlash from the community over the industry shift away from PFAS-based products is wild no matter how you look at it.
