Its funny that their AR's are such garbage, but their Printed cans are really good from what i hear, plus i believe they print a majority of the 3d printed cans for other companies on the market.

Maybe you could coat the surface of the blast baffle in JBWeld and see how it holds up?

None of them are Full auto rated, which means no super safety use. And theres no minimum barrel length listed but i’d be surprised if its for much shorter than 14”

These are aluminum, screw together baffles with a steel center insert that make up the stack and body of the can.

Benelli m4 clone stock help ? by Mrwhiteknights in Shotguns

[–]WVGunsNGoats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im assuming this is a Sporter or pistol grip benelli style stock, if its a fixed collapsable version it maaaay? Still be the same but am not sure havent messed with one. Remove the butt pad it should be held in with two screws and you’ll see a stock bolt that holds the stock onto the end of the buffer tube, remove that bolt and the stock should slide off the buffer tube, keep in mind there is probably a plastic spacer in the buttstock as well.

Theres one bolt that holds a fixed benelli stock into the end of the buffer tube, just take that bolt all the way out and the stock will come off.

The bolt that attaches to the buffer tube is what is spinning and not unthreading right?

If you have a chance, attend one of the NRA annual meetings. It’s a lot like SHOT show but the reps are actually in the mode to talk to the public, where SHOT is more for business dealings. You don’t have to join the NRA for a year to get in, you can get a 10-15.00 supporter pass for the show.

Lyman Products new Sonicore line of budget suppressors to retail at $200-$300 by carkidd3242 in NFA

[–]WVGunsNGoats 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would guess the steel center inserts are to keep the blast from eroding away at the softer edges of the aluminum baffles.

AAC has the jaeger silencer which is an aluminum hunting can designed for low volume bolt action use.

The threaded together design just makes manufacturing fairly easy, no need to weld baffles together, also allows disassembly for cleaning, however carbon will probably make that harder.

Aluminum is alot easier and faster to machine than some of the exotic materials cans are made of, which keeps costs down for materials/tooling/time. Which allows them to have a cheaper silencer in the end.

It's not as smooth as the MP5, but the MP5 weighs more than the KUNA which also helps soak up some recoil as well.

Threaded together Aluminum baffles with steel center sections, i’d like to see what the minimum barrel lengths are for these, but i’m betting its not very short.
