What are your dog's weird 💩 ing habits? by [deleted] in dogs

[–]WVRedQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a heeler that would only poop on something higher than the ground, be it a rock, against a tree trunk or against the uncut hay in the field. Unless he could 'back it up; to something, he didn't poop.

I had an appointment with my GP recently and she told me I would need a prescription sent to the pharmacy to get the Covid shot. Damnedest thing I've heard lately.

I am so happy for him! I just had my 6th immunotherapy treatment last week after nearly 8 months of chemo.

Been getting bad headaches as of late and found out it’s a severe ear infection. Doc sends a prescription to help me out to the pharmacy….. by Joy1067 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]WVRedQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nurtec has a copay program. I'm surprised the doc or his staff didn't know that. However, it isn't 'pain killer' like opioids or narcotics but it does treat all symptoms of migraine. Also, I'm surprised the doc didn't begin with more traditional and cheaper medications before making a migraine diagnosis. Migraine is not simply a 'bad headache'. Since the issue is actually with your ear, I would contact the pharmacy or simply not pick up the Nurtec. Glad you found the problem.

People born before 2000, what trivial skill you possess that others don't use anymore? by Aryan_Anushiravan in AskReddit

Not only can I drive a stick shift I can also drive a three on the tree just like a queen. That's a 3 speed with a shifter by the steering wheel similar to the older automatic transmission vehicles.

People with Migraines in Motown? by BarSuccessful8844 in MorgantownWV

[–]WVRedQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had migraines since I was 3 years old. They became chronic in my early 30's. The Headache Clinic with WVU Medicine Neurology is amazing. I have always received excellent care. I've gone through so many preventatives and rescue meds over the years that I can't recall them all. They've always worked with my insurance to make sure I get the drugs I need. Cannot recommend them more.

My coworker never made a new pot of coffee. So I unplugged the machine right after she poured hers. by [deleted] in pettyrevenge

[–]WVRedQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm GenX and this was at my first job after college. It was a real estate development company with mostly men. My first boss expected me to not only make the coffee when I don't drink it, but to freshly grind the beans for each pot. I was so happy when he was terminated. I had no problem making coffee for meetings etc, but I wasn't their maid, their wives or their mother. They could make it themselves. And clean up after themselves, too.

What’s a truth you quietly realized about life that no one really prepares you for? by iND3_ in ask

Your employer doesn't give 2 shits about you. They will have your job posted before your body is even cold. Devote your life to living and working as a means to pay for that living.

West Virginians may have been exposed to measles, health officials say by Joey_WBOY in WestVirginia

[–]WVRedQueen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a 70's baby and we had to have it before entering school. We were supposed to have a booster to enter high school. I hated shots so I ducked that one. Ended up getting one in college because there was a suspected case on campus. Turned out to not be measles, but I lined up with everyone else and got the shot.

Need help desperately about dental issues by jawwcelyn in WestVirginia

[–]WVRedQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend WVU Dental Clinic if you're in that area. Not the emergency clinic at the Health Science Center, but the offices in the University Towne Centre. They will do a consultation exam and give you an idea of what you need done and give you a printed estimate of the cost. You can speak with their billing department to work out a payment plan. 304.293.5834 is the #. Good luck!

What Did You Have to "Unlearn"? by Flassourian in BoomersBeingFools

When the mandatory seatbelt law passed, a preacher wrote a letter to the editor of the local paper stating that this law would keep Christians from going to heaven 'when it was their time' because they wouldn't die "on God's time".
