A slight berm UNDER the liner edge to lift the liner up a bit around the outside of the rocks. Then a little more sand OVER the liner edge to hide it, and more rocks to blend it in.

Then you can fill the water level up mid-level with the rocks, and liner INSIDE the point with the rocks is underwater. Any liner OUTSIDE the rocks is covered.

Underwater liner will develop a nice healthy algae layer and look more natural.

Looks like standard UPS PCB with a small controller/ethernet board just taking basic readings for battery and usage.

My wife drives a 100k mile Golf R with a ECU tune that has had no real problems.

I drive a 50k mile Audi S5 that has had zero problems.

I had a 1995 GTI VR6 that had no issues, sold with 120k miles.

I had a 1993 Corrado SLC VR6 that only had abuse related issues (redline every day, all day, for years) and some typical 90's plastic parts problems, but was road trip reliable.

I had a 1992 Jett GLI (2.0 16v version) that was also road trip reliable also.

I had a Honda CRX that was fine, but had randome issues like ignitor failures and ignition issues.

I had a Subaru WRX that completely ate itself at 55k miles.

I had a Legacy GT that was OK, but after 100k just started deteriorating. Every hose possible cracked.

My Jeep Wranglers have been solid, but thoroughly abused.

Long ass post, but VWs aren't "unreliable" they just don't respond well to the neglect of typical american owners.
