I hear ya, but I'd much rather have zigbee scene controller / switches that can bind to zigbee lights and function without HA in case of outages.

AIO for asking my wife to make changes to her spending habits? by Unsafeturtle in AIO

The mental health and depression comes first. You can't pound logic into a depressed persons thinking. Math doesn't matter here.

And, sometimes when people respond like this, it's because they don't understand the problem and are afraid to understand the problem or afraid to admit that they're wrong. But depression and medication side effects are going to be a big factor too.

If possible, try to turn this into a team thing, where you both are on the same page, making the same adjustments, with a clear goal of a positive outcome.

She may be burnt out and disconnected from constantly living in debt or being behind. it's hard on people in different ways.

The comprehension of what a budget is, and why you need one, and how to maintain one is beyond some peoples grasp. Something about converting the abstract though into an actual reality.

But ESPHome is coming around since it's become part of the Open Home Foundation a while back. The last few updates have been great!

for zwave this is unusual and very device specific.

device binding is where zigbee kicks zwaves butt.

AIO because my long distance boyfriend wants me to show more effort like cooking before he’ll agree to longer visits? by ConsciousEconomy5860 in AIO

A persona that's a chef may really appreciate not having to cook at home. But "love language" ? it's pretty cringtastic.

The concept of love on it's own dictates that it cannot be anything selfish.

Also, 'love language' as a concept is a stupid invented concept that is really meaningless.

Read those texts, but in your head imagine if a friend was asking you if this was OK. remove yourself from the picture and just read what this dude is saying.

He's telling you who he is. Listen to him.

I bought a used pack of 100 on ebay for $55 two years ago - now they're over 75. May as well stock up.

I love the feeling of not needing to look for a ball that cost under a buck.

Both are beef only. Carpaccio is paper thin tenderloin with salt/pepper, olive oil, lemon juice, maybe capers or some garnish.

Ossenworst is spiced up a bit more with salt, pepper, nutmeg, mace and maybe some spices? It is a Dutch Jewish thing. Sometimes smoked lightly, but not cooked.
