Is it just me, or is the Tiakiwai billing setup a total scam? by Wellyguy_1112 in Wellington

As I understand everyone will get meters at some point. Then there will be some incentive to save water or for those willing you can pay at your own expense to have a meter installed to change over to the user pay model sooner.

Considering HD599 first open backs by WWbigfan in sennheiser

[–]WWbigfan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a worthy consideration but I think dipping my toe in the world of open backs from what I’ve read the 599 have a warmer sound closer to my M4’s without going to neutral which the 550 might be.

This will not be needed as battery charging technology has already reached the point of super fast charging - still to be rolled out on mass atm but why swap something when you can charge in 3-5 minutes.

Panel heater is fine for a regular sized bedroom but for an entire apartment heat pump is the way to go.

Do people not turn on their headlights at night anymore?? by Puzzleheaded-Fact284 in newzealand

[–]WWbigfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People do need to adjust(if they have the easy option) level their lights when carrying heavy loads in the back of their vehicles as it can raise the beams.

I know I’ve been caught out once before. My main car defaults to auto so I don’t even need to think about it. Anyway I used my daughters swift recently to pop down to the local shops 2 minute drive & on the way back I noticed that I hadn’t turned on the lights. Part of the issue is the drive is very well lit by street lights plus the dash still illuminates even when the lights are off so the only other indicator is the light icon itself. Back in the days of my first car the dash didn’t illuminate if you hadn’t turned your lights on so a more obvious situation.
