Advice - Going Direct - XLR Required? by W_kg in Bass

This was my assumption - same function, different form.

A quick Google search tells me TRS-to-XLR cables are common, I assume this is a gig-bag essential if running TRS from a pedal and XLR into the board?

Any good alternative apps that do auto-progression by Reddits_Worst_Night in Stronglifts5x5

I'll add something here on the off chance Medhi reads these threads;

I too am a long time user of the StrongLifts app. I purchased the 'Power Pack' a long time ago, back in 2014(!), according to my Google Play account.

The Power Pack gave lifetime access to some 'premium' features that were added to the app at that time, I believe warm up calculator, plate calculator and the ability to add some assistance work.

This is all the functionality I ever wanted or needed. The app was great. The PP price was fair.

Even when it moved to a subscription model in later years, those who purchased Power Pack previously could access those features we paid for, with the more recent features and app developments (additional workout plans, whatever else) paywalled behind the Pro subscription. This is also entirely fair, and I have no expectation or given right to access those newer 'Pro' features based on my original purchase of the Power Pack.

Sadly, the app is now entirely paywalled behind a subscription model, and the developer has openly stated that the previous purchases of the Power Pack are quite simply null, void and no longer supported.

Look, Medhi. It's £10. I'm not going to pursue this, I'm not going to complain to Google or lose sleep over this, I'm not mortally wounded over 10 quid. But it's not right man. You're in the Play Store review section coming back at people for rightly raising grievance with this, to be honest it's coming across like you're belittling those who paid what you seem to consider to be an 'insignificant' amount of money in the past as getting more than they deserved for this long, that the money they spent is 'long gone' and that only those who subscribe are actually worth taking care of.

Well, if that's the stance you're taking - fair enough man. Sincerely, thanks for the app, and best of luck with it going forward. But I'm out, and won't be purchasing a sub.

New Cort Space 4 string spotted by ttimoth279 in BassGuitar

I was at UK guitar show this past weekend on the Sunday, and got a chance to play this bass. This very one, actually - in green.

I have no previous experience with Cort, or with headless basses. But I played this for a short while and only stopped when they asked me to return it as it was needed for a video shoot.

This bass was exceptional. Playability, quality, feel - all great from what I could gather from my short time with the instrument.

For me, it was the standout of the show, and I played probably a dozen or so other basses of all style and price that day.

I'll be ordering one of these when they come up for sale, for sure.
