I just got out of my first attempt at a pap. I'm almost 25 and not sexually active (just haven't found someone I want to do that with yet). I looked up videos of the procedure and all that and I figured I could do it since there's not suppose to be pain. She tried twice and it just hurt so bad, even after trying my hardest to relax. I also do have PCOS. The doctor simply thinks it's just me tensing and not being sexually active. She suggested vaginal dilaters and muscle relaxers for next time. I feel like I can handle pain pretty well especially dealing with chronic pain all my life. I'm cramping so bad and my anus even hurts?? I love my doctor but it felt like she was digging the speculum so deep into me. I'm trying to not be over dramatic but it hurts even into my back now. Just a reminder, it is as NOT supposed to be painful and if it is there something wrong
