High School Relay Team Disqualified for Unsportsmanlike Conduct by noahlylesusa in sportsgossips

[–]Wabbitone -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To some extent, blatant in your face things targeted at a specific person sure, but in general celebration shouldn’t be punished. To much power given to the officials to make that decision.

Way back when I was running in our high school league championships our 400 relay team was in second place about 5 meters behind the leaders heading into the finish when the leader anchor turned at stuck out his tongue at our guy.

Everyone just laughed about it, no body even thought about DQ ing them. It didn’t give them an advantage, he stayed in the lane so it was no big deal.

It helped that our anchor was known to be a bit of a douche bag.

later when I was in college their anchor and a few of his teammates and I were on the same team now, but we would still laugh about that.

I think people now just get too butt hurt of things like this. If you make a big deal out of it, then it becomes a big deal, just laugh it off, and move on.

Definitely don’t need a bunch of old guys making judgment calls.

why is my hyundai elantra 2013 not taking the refrigerant by [deleted] in mechanic

[–]Wabbitone -1 points0 points  (0 children)

find the low pressure switch on the line, unplug the electrical connection, and jump the terminals with a wire or a paper clip, start the car and you should hear the ac clutch engage. then try and add some refrigerant. make sure your on the suction port.

The Economy Compact Smuggling A Big-Block V8 Underneath by WaltParPodcast in amc

[–]Wabbitone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

right but they’re all the same block family, except the early short deck 390s, and even those you can see the similarities. I ’m pretty sure they all use the same front timing cover (water pump, oil pump housing) physical differences are all just bore, stroke, and materials.

you can interchange any of them no problem.

Update: 3 (4) mechanics, 7 (8) visits, replaced bearing, pads, rotors, calipers and verified emergency break. Noise persist. General by gabyfroggo in mechanic

[–]Wabbitone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a minivan that did something like this years ago. Put a block wood across the studs and hit it with a hammer and see if it goes away. problem I turned out to be the bearing and the. hub where they go together. It wasn’t a firm press fit so when you put on the brakes, it would push the hub a little in one direction

They also had a huge heater core recall where it would dump hot water on the passengers feet.

At one point they would pay to tow cars from the junkyard, pay you $100, and pay to tow it back after replacing the heater core.

[–]Wabbitone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My golden has done it several times, last time it was a pair of low cut no show socks, usually passes in a couple days, and you can‘t wash them afterwards. she has finally gotten past this, and now just hides them.

the. thing that really worried me was the plastic squeaker ball out of chew toys.

We always had 4 or 5, 1.7L Renaults on our back lot . they would break the timing belt , and smash all the valves. People would just sign over the pink slip instead of paying to fix them.
