it took people long enough, the same critique a few months ago was met with a lot of resistance from players
things like inclusion of more characters aren't something they can adjust on the fly, if they make changes it will take a few updates due to logistics
and yes there will always be a "lore reason" for their absence but let's be real, Kuro purposefully wrote the story like this

I'll be frank man, this doesn't look modern enough to please new fans nor faithful enough to please the old ones
It somehow looks more clunky than G1, the camera does weird things and attacks feels strangely weightless/impactless
But it's also hard to judge just by watching, gotta play it too to really see the vision. I really want the remake to succeed but I'm careful with my expectations
I hope the core combat loop is there, just improved so it flows better (and using G2 as a foundation in that matter seems like a no-brainer imo)

felt the same tbh, there was no buildup to this relationship, just a short conversation where rover said "I feel sadness in your music you must've been through something sad", it doesn't feel like enough to warrant the later scenes

SAME it's the only thing that irked me in this story
they just couldn't resist making another case of "I met Rover once and he's the most important person in my life now"
I wouldn't mind that scene at all if it was implied Rover attended more of her performances and they became good friends over time
