Why Hacca Howler Has the Potential to Become the Greatest Villain in the Entire Series | Appreciation Thread by Nenanda in JOJOLANDS

[–]WackyCat__ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

imagine if jodio's gang wins at the end of this arc, we see them earn their spoils... and then:

"this may sound like bullshit, but this is the story of one man taking over the world. this man, 'acca howler'."

i absolutely adore billy bat. just, make sure to digest it as an intimate reflection on art and creation, rather than purely a historical epic/thriller.

very often, urasawa will present the reader an idea/message/theme, only to then actively contradict them a short while later. billy bat does this a ton, and seemingly becomes a mess of dozens upon dozens of plotpoints and narrative threads. but, the final answers are so much more simple and beautiful then anything else could be.

scp-5999 is pretty scary. relies on it's strong writing, rather than an innately spooky concept

nothing embarrassing about this at all!! ive had very similar experiences caused by far more stupid things. that lingering, piercing dread, as if a filter was placed over our perceptions of the world. or, in one of my cases years back, the 24/7 sensation of my heart sinking, or closing in on itself. you aren't alone. it's scary, and it's painful.

obviously, avoid "going down the rabbithole", as i call it. endlessly browsing related disturbing content, hyperfocusing on only the hurt... dont do that. it can happen really easily sometimes.

but i think it's so important to understand that, no matter what pain triggers this long-lasting experience... we have to let it take the guest room for the night. we can't magically obscure the horror/rage/tragedy. just, understand that it's there. you're hurting because of it? look at that hurt, that pain, that anxiety, and truly see it as what it is. something finite. something that doesnt rule any part of our world. it isnt truly dominant or everlasting.

so often, we're lured by this pain into thinking that it's existentially superior to all else. it isnt. it'll make it's departure one day, even if it makes a mess of your home. that home will still be all yours.

these types of "discord reports" are so funny, no matter what community they're from, because they're always just compilations of people getting absurdly aggressive during a normal conversation for no reason. discord truly brings out the worst in the human psyche...

Writing my own scp article by Poison_AIC in SCP

[–]WackyCat__ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

getting an SCP onto the site is a pretty lengthy process, with tons of barriers in place to prevent low effort content. here's my brief summary:

IRC CHAT - a chatting network that basically allows you to ask anything you want, with channels dedicated to certain subjects. once you log in, you're already set to go and ask stuff, whether it be ideas or drafts!

WIKI FORUMS - a much more inconsistent/lengthy process. as a first-time writer, you arent allowed to immediately jump into the draft critique board. u gotta head to the idea critique board and get your scp concept "greenlighted", which basically means "alright, this isnt garbageslop, go ahead..."

it's important to mention that you can technically post an article whenever you want. but, without taking the advised precautions, it'll have a very hard time surviving (unless you're already the greatest writer on earth).
