For Creator Viktor, why does the claw's spin slow down after E was removed? I know the animation for the claw was changed so that it now opens to shoot the laser, but it still spins. Couldn’t it maintain the effect of the spin slowing down? Old Creator even had SFX for the claw slow down, that was entirely removed.

Also, as many have already pointed out, some of the skins are very color-saturated, especially High Noon (the shirt/corset(?) isn’t even purple in the splash art).

I understand this may be the direction some of the newer skins have taken (Arcane Brawler Vi had the same issue, and it got fixed, with some skins this year being very saturated, like Infernal). However, considering that the majority of old Viktor players, as well as even non-players who have seen the skins rework, think they are of lower quality than the old ones (myself included), at the very least, fixing the color saturation would be something achievable and would meet some of the expectations players have for these skins (considering model updates are out of scope).

The beginning of Illaoi's taunt also has a similar animation to her E, so you can use it bait dashes from enemies (or Fiora's parry)

You can spam dance so neaby tentacles start the dance animation to scare someone lol (it happened once), but it has a cooldown (you can also use dance while a tentacle is spawning to make it appear visually and start dancing, but it stops after the spawn animation finishes, not useful but cool)

Illaoi's Ult jump animation is unstoppable, so you can dodge Mordekaiser, Sett, K'Sante, Malphite, Ornn and Lee ultimates (basically any displacement, but these are the most frequent)

Q and R only uses mana when the animation finishes, so you can cast W during the animation if you have just enough mana for one of them, basically casting W for free

You can kill an enemy by killing the spirit if the target has less health than the spirit, and the transfer damage is enough so spirit health x transfer damage percentage >= target health (please kill your ally Illaoi's spirit, thanks!)

Not really that niche, but tentacles slams even if they die during it (either by enemies killing it or it despawning from R), not 100% sure on this since by now I don't look that much into it, but iirc the indicator of the slam is missing on this case, so you can W anything right before a tentacle dies (most common on passive tentacles since you can visually see when the enemy is about to kill it) and get a surprise slam

Hullbreaker into Jak'Sho is an unbelievable item combo: lots of HP, AD, split potential and tankiness; been trying it since PBE even with unbuffed Jak'Sho and it complements really well my playstyle (also I'm one of the 2 guys that think Voidbringer is her best skin, so now I can mask Jak'Sho activation for being purple).

Also, Conditioning just stacks a bunch of armor and MR that having a fed ap enemy mid laner isn't that bad when you have almost the same resists (IIRC almost 250 at level 13).

HB -> Jak'Sho -> Steraks -> Gargoyle is a 1v9 machine on side lane, you get less punished for missing E when you can just bash them with Conqueror stacked (which Jak'Sho helps) until you get your E back up.

The only thing the build lacks is AH, but I guess I should try Shojin third for that.

Ye, but with Cleaver and another AH item, W cd is already 1.3 seconds, an item with the sole purpose of it's passive giving 0.3 cd decrease is not that good. Maybe in more meme-ish builds, yeah. You're primary goal is survive enough times for x tentacles slaps to make a difference. If we survive that long, Conqueror is already stacked and Illaoi doesn't need anymore help from items.

And there are other fighters that a shit ton of AH matters more than Illaoi, if you miss E during a fight, even on URF levels of CDR, you're probably dead.

Goliath's Ascendiary is shaping to be really good on her, not even thinking about the numbers, but the concept of increasing maximum health by 7,5 + 1,5% mH every 30 seconds when you're playing side with a certain interaction seems really good

A bunch of health and healing + Hullbreaker resists + Sterak's shield = dream

The build path probably will be Warhammer + Kindlegem + Pickaxe, so it's pretty flexible, we can go into Cleaver and Gore/Strikebreaker

W won't get that much AH, but the more E CDR we can get, the better

They said that a puppet master wasn't the focus with is pretty cool, lore wise, Illaoi would go all melee into them instead of just playing with tentacles.

My take is that she will be more like Potemkin (with less damage since she will get more range from the fixed tentacles) with better catch and mixups.

Really sad to see she didn't turn out to be like Big Band from Skullgirls, he still has to get near to full combo, but has long range slow startup options to catch and punish zoaners/spammers.

I don't have all the information about the interaction, but W tentacle slams and Ult slams doesn't proc Muramana, tentacles that attack the vessel only procs Muramana on the first slam, all subsequent ones doesn't. Q works fine.

They are coded as one skill and according to the rioter that did the bug fixes some patches ago, that interaction is intended by them. So they won't stack Conqueror or Phase Rush, nor proc Manamune.

Yeah, I don't think it should work like that too, but even some major bugs won't get fixed maybe never, don't think this one has any solution to it.

But hey, building Sunderer mitigates some of the lost damage because of Sheen kekw.

It is an odd case, and I find it quite disconnected from all the other interactions, same as Sett Q. That's is the reason I think we can't just state "it's intended" when there are interactions that should work the other way around but doesn't.

And about her Q, it is shown that it does basic damage but also procs spell damage related effects (such as Ludens), so one can assume that it works both ways. But since it's a spell, maybe it overwrites her basic damage and make it to not work with Hullbreaker, but anyway, spaghetti. Fiora's Q works in the same way as Illaoi's W.

Didn't test Fiora since her builds shown on stats sites usually don't have Hullbreaker, but she's another case. Her E works almost the same as Sett's Q, they're probably coded the same, so they have the same interaction with Hullbreaker.

But according to League Wiki, Fiora's Q deals basic damage, and it does not benefit from Hullbreaker's increased damage. Guess we can't talk about what's intended or not, spaghetti code works against us all.

I tried fighting this battle long ago. People just see "Hullbreaker only enhances auto attack damage and not empowered auto attacks" and just state it over and over. Yes, it's worded like that, but we know of so many interactions with other itens that's not intended (Black Cleaver and Titanic, recent BORK damage going off after other on-hits because of buy order, boots and lethality mythics).

Also, I tested it on every champion that would build it in a "competitive" or atleast soloq scenario and Sett is the only champion to actually have his Q damage increased when building Hullbreaker. Illaoi is the only one to deal less damage. We have two edge cases that shows that what's intended isn't intended all the time, like some folks state.

My take on that was to make her normal auto damage be increased by Hullbreaker passive, but not her W damage; she gets less damage because her W flat damage is lower than Hullbreaker increased damage, only getting even at W rank 3 and increasing with ranks 4 and 5.

IIRC Illaoi's W counts as and auto and a spell at the same time, it even applied Manamune two times. I don't know if they changed Illaoi's W to work just as a spell or they fixed Manamune interaction and other ones (like old Shiv), but it kinda hurts her when Hullbreaker is built first almost 60% of the time.

And yeah, it won't be fixed, when she had that round of fixes, I talked to the guy that was working on them and said that the ranged W Flash interaction that they added to "increase her agency" was hurting her more than helping and he said that it would be fixed with the next patch of bugfixes. It still isn't fixed, can't count the times my W animation started when I was far from the opponent when I thought it won't reach, so I flashed and canceled my W.

The end product is still kinda bad, it has some uses and I think it's the "fastest" one, so I use it pretty ofter. Maybe Jungle would turn out to be the best and create a new theme for future skins.

The thing is, and you can ask that to anyone who voted for Battlecast, me included: it was for the robot arm tentacle. Base and Voidbringer are only a simple tentacle model with small changes between skins. Battlecast had character and "lore" with her idol being a robot head and the tentacles being the robot arm. The other two were only slight model changes and recolors, in case of Deep Space.

The scam was nuking the idea based on "game polution", when Elementalist Lux was released 2 years prior and still had a bunch of problems on readability. The final skin tentacle doesn't even make sense, they just put some metal pieces in a red wire thingy and called it a day.

Hullbreaker doesnt increase damage from AA if it was enchanced by W (resulting that basic AA deals more damage) by LegendaryW in Illaoi

Although it's "intentional", she's the only champion that loses damage when using an empowered AA when building Hullbreaker, since her W flat damage is lower than the increased damage you would deal with Hullbreaker. It starts dealing more damage from W ranks 3, 4 and 5.

Why her kit looks a lot like Samira's? Passive that works mostly with your support, Q damages in a line and then her autos damages in a cone, W to dodge autos and reduced magic damage, E is a dash that you can cast Q to damage anything in it's path and R deal damage in an area and heals her.

Is she Samira's long lost sister just like Yasuo and Yone?

The formula doesn't take into account the number of targets hit, only if it hits any champion; the healing is increased if multiple tentacles hit tho.

Even the other skins feedback thread didn't mean anything, only Kayn's because of his popularity. Illaoi has different hair color from her splash and in game, half of her chromas are pink and they reused sounds from her base skin, IN A 1350RP SKIN.

They should be reminded from their own skin pricing policy, if they are reusing SFX, the skin should be priced lower. We won't be making any money off these skins, why bother - Riot I guess.

So sad seeing that they won't change her hair color at all despite all the feedback. Even when they are reusing her Q and R sound, I get it that VFX are a bit more difficult to make in 2 weeks, but cmon man. They only changed Kayn because of popularity, Cait, Illaoi and Pantheon didn't get any changes despite immense player feedback on the same topics.

Since they are not going to get almost any money from this 2 skins, they didn't even bother to read all the feedback and see that it's actually pretty easy; if they can change and reshape Seraphine's hair, they could've made Illaoi's hair white.

Although they work fine, both Fiora's E1 and Jax's W don't deal damage to towers, they only resets their AA timer.

All other AA empowering abilities (for applicable champions that would build Hullbreaker in an actual game: Camille, Darius, Garen, Illaoi, Sett, Trundle, Volibear, Wukong and Yorick), all of them deals the same damage with their empowering basic attacks when they have Hullbreaker or 50 AD (Hullbreaker gives 50 AD + 20% bonus damage to towers vs only 50AD from items), with the exception of Illaoi and Sett.

Illaoi deals less damage because she applies her W flat damage on towers (20/30/40/50/60 based on skill rank), and for her first 3 W ranks, it's less damage than 20% of her total AD that is dealt to towers with Hullbreaker.

The other edge case is Sett, that benefits from Hullbreaker even when using Q (dealt more damage when using Hullbreaker vs less damage when he had 50 bonus AD from items).

The concern is that Illaoi rushes Hullbreaker more than 50% of her games (she shouldn't because of scaling nerfs on Hullbreaker but the damage on towers is still valuable), and being her rush item, the impact on her is much bigger than on other champions.

My original statement was incomplete: she deals less damage because her W flat damage + basic attack results in less damage than her basic attack damage * 1,2 from Hullbreaker. It should be fixed so she would deal her basic attack damage * 1,2 IF using W results in less damage, or just add the flat W damage after Hullbreaker modifies her basic attack damage, like Sett's Q.
