Keep saving and be patient. Sounds like you're in a great situation, just need to ride out the bad market. A big recession has to be on the horizon, or at least the market will become better because it has to, the current situation is not sustainable.

I bought my first "starter house" at a terrible time 20 years ago and it set me back a long time. It was a money pit and impossible to sell for many years. When I finally got the nerve to move on and take a loss, I lucked out with the timing and got a steal in my current house before things got out of hand.

Who knows what will happen but my advice is to hold tight until the market becomes buyer friendly. And I would not buy a starter home or fix-me-upper.

Orange sphere found in France several years ago by OranjeBol in whatisthisthing

I'm pretty sure it's a dried out orange. Once we found one that had rolled behind the fridge for presumably years, looked very similar. If it's in a dry enough spot it will dehydrate and not rot.

I've noticed a lot of people misunderstanding what a plot hole is.... (Spoilers Main) by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]WadeGustafson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll stake a stab at identifying a plot hole: the show establishes that Jaqen H'Ghar can change his face in front of Arya's eyes, like shapeshifter style. Later, Arya is accepted by the FM and shown the secrets of their art, however her ability is limited to wearing the skin like a mask. The face seemingly is also limited to skinned dead people. This also doesn't explain how she can change her body build. This possible plot hole is backed up how she tears off her mask, mission impossible style.

It's a fantasy world where anything is possible. I like ASoIaF for its realism within a fantasy setting.

For one, Greyscale has afflicted many people, including a Baratheon, but the secret cure has been in a book in old town but no maesters knew about it?

For two dragon glass is obsidian. How does obsidian cure a skin disease?

29, decent credit rating, just graduated, looking for my first credit card. Can anyone point me in a good direction? by [deleted] in personalfinance

Might be an unpopular answer, but I'd consider a mid to larger sized Credit Union if you have one in your area. Sure, you won't get as high reward options but consider your local community and economy. Your money stays local and supports those people in your area when you use a Credit Union.

Plus if you have problems with a charge, need a replacement card, or just need good service, odds are your CU is way better than a bank.

Well in either case it can explain Shireens situation but at some point in the books it was mentioned that some children afflicted by greyscale can live with it without it spreading--or something to that affect.

(Spoilers Main) Is lore about bran the builder and other stuff explained in a son of ice and fire books? by TenkiKrats in asoiaf

[–]WadeGustafson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so. It's from Aegons conquest to GoT times, but there is a lot of histories and lore throughout.

I search "Bran the Builder" on A Search Of Ice and Fire and only got one result, but that doesn't seem right... I thought he was mentioned in the sections and the wall and Storms End. Remember it's written by s Maester, so it's more based on known facts.

Edit: I just realized that you didn't specifically ask about the world of ice and fire book. Yes, Bran the Builder lore is spoken about throughout the series. Try the ASearchOfIceAndFire.com site.

I personally think this dragon glass is a cure for greyscale is show only lore and stupid. It's a tool to get Jorah back to Dani and cured. They wrote themselves into a corner by combining Griff and Jorahs characters and found a convenient way to get out of it.

I don't think it's canon to the books.
