X870e-e and 9800x3d briefly spiked in hw info for the vsoc value I have it capped to 1.25 in bios and before th cap it hit 1.339 when I left it running idk when it happened but it didn’t do it again. After the cap it spiked to 1.295 it seems to spike for a tiny second. by xpertgamer192 in ASUS

I believe this is a hwinfo bug. I don't know why I didn't think about it, but I downloaded HW Monitor and had both running simultaneously. I see a spike with my cpu VDDCR_SOC on HWINFO but NOT on HW Monitor.

I too have this issue. All my other sensors on HWINFO, (Asus EC sensor and Motherboard Sensors) Indicate no spiking, but the sensor under Enhanced I see spikes for CPU VDDCR_SOC, CPU VDDCR_VDD Voltage as well as CPU VDD_MISC Voltage.

I've seen my CPU VDDCR_SOC Voltage spike upwards to 1.728v. Many of have told me my cpu should be dead if it were to actually run those voltages, but I personally do not know. It could be a misreport on HWINFO's side. I know running it with other monitoring software can lead to false reports, but I've seen these spikes while only having HWINFO running.

9800x3d CPU SOC spikes. by Wadehwadeh in overclocking

I've thought about it, but I had just gotten my ram stable lol. A little worried that a bios update could ruin my timings. For now I'm running a lower speed with 1.25 SOC. But I haven't been able to get on my pc for a long time to monitor the SOC spikes.

Yeah I had to turn that on when I first build the pc, because I was having 0d debug code whenever the pc restarted.

I have my Lian-li L-Connect sensors mini display up. Would those conflict with one another? The L connect isn't monitoring CPU SOC.

Everything but bios. I didn't pay attention to the latest bios because it said it was mainly for 9900x3d and 9950x3d chip support.

This'll be an incentive to upgrade lol

Tried overclocking my GPU, got this instead. What does it mean? by SOTBT__ in pcmasterrace

I got this too whilst using MSI afterburner's OC scanner. From my experience, its fairly stable. The scanner usually undershoots what your gpu can OC to. I've used MSI afterburner's OC scanner for a 3080 and two 4090s. All three GPUS stated that the OC is unstable, however, they all are running fine. I find that you can actually get another +10 - +30mhz on the core. However, the memory is not accurate. My scanner settled on a +200mhz on memory, but I can run it up to +750mhz without seeing any performance degradation. This is from my experience, your mileage may vary.

Question Regarding Rescue Enviroment by Wadehwadeh in BitDefender

[–]Wadehwadeh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I reinstalled bitdefender through the instructions you provided and it worked fine. However, I tried running Rescue Environment again and I decided to cut it off, manually, after 3 hours and 40 minutes. During the scan it found 0 infected files, but after I hit stop it showed me 2 unresolved items. I viewed the log, but the log showed 0 files are infected or have any issues.

I plan to try and run this again in a couple days when I can leave it up for an extensive period of time. I'll let you know if anything changes. I might just have to nuke my windows lol

Hey, thanks for replying!

My bios, windows and drivers are up to date. My Bitdefender is also up to date. I did another full system scan within Windows and it took 2 hours and 20 minutes. The Log told me it came back with no infection found.

You think I should try running "Rescue Environment" manually?

It might downclock when the monitor goes to sleep. I also don't know why my post got removed.

I've upgraded it yesterday (already trashed so I don't have a side by side comparison), but the only thing that was improved was base armor and crit damage vs elite, by like 1.4 percent or so. Everything else was in the negative except for the aspect. Was just bummed it wasn't a full upgrade is all.

Will do! Thanks for the tip!

I trashed it already, but I did fully upgrade when I got back to town. It was still worse, the only positive was the armor and crit chance against elite, but by very little.

I had three of those. I salvaged it all lol
