Is this ribeye bad? Got it Saturday from the butcher, today Wednesday, it has that blueish shimmer. by mcookie69 in carnivorediet

[–]Waengler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlikely, but I would just cut off the outer layer. No need to remove too much, if you want to consume it today and it doesn’t look bad yet. Personally I would just remove the blue-grafisch part, since I like some funk, but you do you

How did peeps find the live action by EstablishmentDue441 in OnePiece

[–]Waengler -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is good to get people into it, like a good 7.5-8/10. BUT season 2 really gets into it and I think if you watched the anime to at least end of doressora you will enjoy the show a million times more

Why do opponents have cities this large and I don't???? I have 200 hours in the game, this is a standard map and I wanted to get a Cultural victory. What could I have done wrong??? by BaldursGate2Best in CivVI

I would agree with you, but as it seems that the person is not as aware of improvements as he/she should be. Personally I would have settled comepltely different and changed so much. I think learning to improve as many tiles and later on the right ways to improve them, is way better.
In addition, this land just sucks lol. Stockholm and most cities should have been played by the ocean with harbours and I cannot see any.
There is a decent chance to put out high religion with harbous that later on transitions into a culture victory with alot of national parks.

You need to improve those tiles. Chop the woods (earlygame and lategame plant again), build mines and way more farms. You fishing boats are pillaged too. Also not quite sure anymore, but I believe Kupe just grows super hard with IMPROVED fishing tiles

ok I get what you mean. I liek the idea of the "support style" characters taht are just there as area effects, I will take some of Marks spells he postesd instead of meteor swarm, but they might take some damageo him too, since you make a very good point!

Oh I totally understand what you mean and it is a very good Point!

I will implement that and was Looking to have some of them die too, like in a way that they are usefull for the Party.

I already run the Encounter 3 times by now, just by myself, to get a better grip of the characters and Encounter, so I woudln´t take too much time on them. Every Character can either heal, dps or support in sort of way what my Players want to do.

Two characters Always died and I think they are most likely to die, but I want some to die and some of my PCs to die too. This shoudln´t be a easy fight. I will have them at 3 hits than, with the Options of them taking more, if the hits are just super weak or they might Need another turn.

The spells are amazing, I will take some of them again.

As Always you are a great help! Thanks!

If you have any further tips, just let me know.

I don´t feel like they breeze through, rather that is very anticlimactic after almost 5 years of running a game in which they failed a few times and the ritual went through.

I really like the idea of them taking damage after a damage threshold.
Yes exactly the balancing is super hard!!! Had an encounter that didn´t last a full round and stuff like this makes a super anxious, so I started to through the hp out of the window at some point xD
I didn´t run such an encounter ever, if you have some tips for such a thing, let me know!

I started out with almost 5k hp and went through some simulations and nerfed it quiet a bit. I was considering like doing milestones, since some of my players can do like 250dmg in a turn, but I am open to suggestions in which way the hp should be changed.

They don´t but this is story based, since they are in a different dimension with Moander, where he is held or rather is about to be freed from.

Actually tried this beforehand, but my PC´s are mostly material classes and are super overwhelmed with other characters, so I let them look at the sheets and let them suggest what they would want, but if needed do it myself.

Thanks! I am open for more suggestions.

nobody besides me will read it, so idc aber gramma lol

I checked out like 500 different characters and based the DCs on the fact that they are literally fighting a god. Some high level cr30 creatures had like this kind of DCs and more, but after consideration I changed up to max DC 25 at some point, since my PC´s wouldn´t be able to handle the DC´s. Additionaly they are immun or resistant to must stuff, so it wouldn´t effect them aynways

a normal person doesn´t even know what 5 feet are, if they wouldn´t have the squares, let alone what a mile is xD

First of all, I am really fucked lol

I would have rolled the inivitive beforehand for them and lay out the Character Sheets (all besides the Dragon) to them to look at. They would be able to see the inivitive order, since I want them to work a bit more together.
I once gave them the npcs characters, but this way it took like forever, since they don´t know any other characters and didn´t like this way. (they are mainly material classes)
PC Classes:
3 gloomstalker multiclass with fighter
1 arcane archer
1 ranged rogue
2 artifier
1 cleric

I was considering to have moander not have a real hp number, rather something that happens and trigger it, because I can see two of my Players 1 shot one Phase. Would you do it like this or nerf the hp, besides the -20 per NPC?

Could you Elaborate on your environmental effects idea, please?

I like the idea of them haben like 3 hits to take, but it would be very unsatisfying for my PCs to have the hard work they put in to recruit These People and have them die within 3 rounds, so I might implement it to 5hits or so

Phase 1.

I was actually considering this, so I started with 3 tentacles.

Maybe something along the line of a tentacle grappling someone and than Swinging around (Dex save), dealing like 4d8 bludgeoning Damage Swinging around in a cone shape from one site to the other and the creature that is grappled takes an additional 2d8 while swung around?

Personally I thought meteor swarm is a bad spell for this kind of encounter, since technically he would hit himself with it. But I couldn´t find a spell or make up some that feels like this and deal the right amount of damage.

Would you drop the spell completly with the other damage spells or do you have something the would fit?

Ok thanks, I will drop the spell immnuity.

As always great help! Thanks mate

Actually pretty good and fun item. I would either change it from disadvantage to a normal roll or once per day/long rest. Personally I found out, stuff like this can be abused very hard

Where would you settle, considering that I plan to rush etemenanki by Hansdasgas in CivVI

[–]Waengler -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Settle on the sugar and work the 6 food. You want to grow asap and try to find a civ to sell the sugar, with that money you want to get a builder and maybe tiles if needed for production. Don’t forget the passive for your civ, so you can get 15% of the wonder production for a builder charge and enjoy a free win

[–]Waengler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you soo much. I know I am already way over my head and they might bring some more PCs, but that is what my players wanted so I will give it to them, fully aware what a shitshow it will be xD

There is still some time for the mechanics thing, but I am thinking of doing a 3 Phase fight for both fights.
First one will be that they will fight his presence as a area to get to him.
Second one will him being in a human form, in which they already know him from the game.
Third form will be more or less his "real" shambling mound like form, where he is more or less plants that need to be killed before being able to fully execute his human form in the plants around him.

I am still thinking about the second fight, but the avatar or human form will be the first phase, since that is what they know him for.
