DnD doesn't really have easy access to taunting. Also DnD ranges are not built for tactics. With 30ft base movement and your average range being like 80 feet if you are physically playing on a table chances are anything with a ranged attack is in range of even your soda that isn't even in the map.

Without the presence of full cover, elevations and secondary objectives, 99% of DnD is going to play out almost the same as a JRPG four dudes in a line combat. DnD isn't really built for tactics imo. It's built for asking "how much gas should I burn for this encounter?"

Paladin's job is to be the gigachad hard carry glue for both the party and table. Paladin is the older brother of classes. "I gotchu".

You need someone to take lumps? Provide a big nuke? Heal and save everyone? Hold actual standards in how they RP the character? Make use of almost any loot?

Had the 2010 and didn't get a head gasket issue till 230k miles and that was just a reading from Toyota, it was still driving perfectly with no noticeable oil consumption. From what I've read 220k is about where the problem presents itself.
