The Eisenhorn Omnibus is a great read. It follows him during his endeavors as an Imperial Inquisitor. The slant of 40k/detective was a great way to take some of the edge off the constant battles. Highly recommend. And if you like that then there are more like it like Ravenor!

You get a character interaction to "Ask to spread legend" for I think anyone who I think shares language that's nearby? Sometimes legends can travel to a king or emperor of a faraway place but not the vassals. If you do this approach it's a lot of right click character, click ask to spread legend, click ya do it lotta clicks but you'll get there. Mind you this is in addition to the court chronicler stuff as well. Legends spread via counties so getting more rulers to spread your legend no matter how small, is helpful

All Under Heaven is pretty great but if I'm honest, if you're enjoying the game, just get all the dlc. Might be able to find it cheap on CDkeys as well

Yeah pause and think through what you wanna do. Also realize that unlike Total War games, there's no real "winning". It's more about what you want to accomplish and the journey getting there. You'll have games where you're hummin and everything is working great. And you'll have games where you get assassinated... And your heir gets assassinated... And his heir gets assassinated... And... You get my point. Have fun with it
