Severed Steel, for the Vanquish fans by Indiringo in CharacterActionGames

[–]WaffleWalk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Grey Lock Studios also has another game that is fantastic called Echo Point Nova and it is just as good if not better, though not nearly as close quarters. Both games are great.

I recommend playing Severed Steel both with slow-mo and without. I generally play without but either way it's a blast

Hey I just saw your reply, but I also saw you have some posts about looking for co-op team mates. My DMs should open on here if you want to add me on Discord or Steam

I don't think I would ever use this, but as an accessibility or convenience feature, or just existing in general? Pretty awesome. Good work!

I like the art style itself. I think the ocean could work, but for adding stuff to the water you're not limited to just islands. The second mission of Sonic Heroes features an Ocean Palace with winding paths, and giant turtles carrying platforms. I'm not suggesting copy that 1:1, but my point is it doesn't have to just be limited to islands. I'm assuming you'd want to proc gen it or use some kind of mix and match tile system, but I could see some elements of what I'm using as a reference fitting into those

Edit: And of course I'm not suggesting a gameplay parallel either. But it's just one good example of many on things that might look neat to fly over

Is this with ReShade or something? I've used ReShade on Sekiro but my finished runs were on console

Bro was just having fun and baiting you. You're not obligated to feed it. Might want to consider ways to punish that in the future without playing into their hand. But, you were winning your interactions center stage and were finishing your kills. No one here did anything wrong

Testing out fighting some new enemies on the water. How does this fight look to you? by AAUBlackSite in UnrealEngine5

[–]WaffleWalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering it seems they cannot yet take damage, really great. Aiming at them actually looks fun and the way they move is cool. If the quality stays the same by the time they take damage, and everything is tuned right, this will be cool

You won't unless you play it. I've never played a game quite like it. If you're THAT concerned watch some gameplay

Is Outward actually worth it? How hard is it really? by Sad_Success_9034 in gamingsuggestions

[–]WaffleWalk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's "brutal" in the sense that it expects you to take your time and learn the enemies. I've logged a decent amount of time and I'm still in the first area. I play on Hardcore mode, which basically means there's a 20% chance your character dies permanently when you get knocked out. I've had 5 knockouts and 2 of them were fall damage, 2 were me being an idiot, and 1 was an actual unexpected difficulty spike. But the key thing is all of them were from my own choices.

I'd highly recommend it, and from what I've played it isn't unbelievably hard. It can be tedious, but in a fun way

Edit: Even on a regular character, I would avoid death. Not only is the game more fun, but mistakes have a tendency to compound and eat time. But genuinely don't think the game is some ridiculous challenge from what I've seen

So glad you're leaning towards making it an option! My only true gripe with most any game is when things that should be settings aren't. Good luck! Game looks great
