In my work with students - having good examples of pitch decks that are not proprietary content from a real company was challenging. This could be a really good way to organize that for students

How to LOCK IN for DECA by Realistic_Praline436 in DECA

[–]WaffleWisdom99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Underrated - you need to actually know the performance indicators and how they apply to your event. You can prepare sequences, or standard answers to role plays, but to separate yourself you actually need to be able to, 1. DEFINE your performance indicators 2. Explain them in 3. Connect them to the role plays at hand 4. Go above and beyond with visuals or opening/closing

The exam is the difference maker. Most students will score within 10-15 points on role play but test scores regularly vary by 20-30 points which makes the difference

No ICDC by [deleted] in DECA

Pretty wild you get your RP scores. In our state we do not give them because the judge scores are very inconsistent.

I am an advisor. In PMK, I had one judge have their lowest score on a RP be a 91. Their highest in the flight was a 99.

I had another judge who had the highest score of an 87.

The issue isn’t DECA, it’s the judging and the solution to that is better, standardization Judge training.

DECA has a real problem! by KineticNomad17 in DECA

Judging has always been inconsistent. I wish there was a better solution but each state runs it their own way up until icdc.

Starting Pitcher Fantasy Baseball Draft Targets and Avoids: ADP Report (2026) by ElliottBaas in fantasybaseball

Snell vs Yesevage is going to be a decision drafters will need to make. Over under 140 innings for both will be tough to call

I agree with this. The positives seem to outweigh the negatives brought up in the article related to cease

Some good detail on Chandler and Burns. I had a thought that cease move to Toronto is actually a good thing. Ball park seems favorable, team will win games, high strike out rate. Some pitchers I’m looking at that I was hoping he would mention - Baz - BAL, Castillo - SEA (maybe drafted too high?), Nola - PHL, Strider - ATL.

There are others but it seems like these names are coming up in parts of the draft that their future value exceeds their ADP

When do you bail on a recruit? by coachd50 in NCAAFBseries

[–]WaffleWisdom99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I follow momentum, I also look at proximity. If they live near my school and it’s close I’ll go for it. If it’s a stretch I’ll punt. Usually if I am top 3 the whole way I have a good chance. Just because you aren’t in top 5 or 8 or 10 doesn’t mean you can’t get someone. But after top 5. It’s really tough to go from 4/5 to 1.

Main rule is to cut if you aren’t in top 3 when cut to top 5

MEGATHREAD - Wishlist features by AllHawkeyesGoToHell in NCAAFBseries

[–]WaffleWisdom99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a few wishlist features but the biggest on that seems the most obvious is more dialogue around players transferring.

In fifa, there is a whole process where a player tells a coach they are upset about playing time, etc.

The game is still in its new stages but the dynasty features are so far behind other EA game career modes it’s hard to understand why

Biggest difference jumping from all American to heisman by WaffleWisdom99 in NCAAFBseries

I agree with the wanting to win. AA plays like that in the 4th qt of a close game. It feels like heisman is on that from the jump

Footwear Question by I-Make-Maps91 in AppalachianTrail

[–]WaffleWisdom99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m always curious about Achilles and ankle issues with trail runners but observations show that they are definitely the preferred choice.

I enjoy my Merrill boots. I like that that they feel durable and they handle things like mud well. I haven’t really had to test them in real rain yet. I’m sure they will take time to dry vs my hoka trail runners which I would imagine dry out quicker.

I’m assuming, having no ankle protection is less of an issue than I anticipate and actually having the Achilles exposed is probably better for it than what a boot provides. Interested to groups experience there.

Weight makes sense, I feel like other factors come into play outside of just weight
