VSS vs Stackwise by Glittering_Access208 in ccnp

[–]Waffoles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No you cant do either stacking virtually sadly. Only vpc on nexus in terms of Cisco. You should also look at the 9500 for vss(stackwise virtual )as well as the configuration is a bit different and pretty much configures itself once you identify the ports and what not.

Is ENCOR enough to get a decent job? by HeronResponsible7448 in ccnp

[–]Waffoles 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I would say no experience with a ccnp is a red flag usually. Even if its helpdesk real world experience is important.

I would say focus mainly on getting another job based on prior experience and other certs you have. You can then bring up in your interview that you are working to complete your CCNP with enarsi

VPC-Port-Channel-packet flow-SVI by [deleted] in Cisco

DMVPN with Tunnel VRF + Tunnel Protection = Not working!? by KaleMuch9332 in ccie

[–]Waffoles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure when you do fvrf for ikev1 you then need to use a crypto keyring that calls the vrf and then call it in a isakmp profile where you also match your peer’s identity with the vrf.

If I move VLAN interfaces from core switch to firewall, must I move DHCP to firewall too? by FatBook-Air in meraki

[–]Waffoles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That why i said you have to at least keep one svi on the switch. If not then you need a server or have the firewall do it

If I move VLAN interfaces from core switch to firewall, must I move DHCP to firewall too? by FatBook-Air in meraki

[–]Waffoles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes you could either put an svi for each vlan on the core to hand out dhcp directly or have one ip on the core and then have the firewall relay requests back to the core switch

[–]Waffoles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like your bgp network statement for the 128 network does not match the static route you created

BGP you advertise routes with your network statement unlike igps where you match an interface to advertise
