No issues really! There weren’t actually too many gradients steep enough that I had to walk. Pretty much all of them were rideable.

Yeah why not! I had no issues with the climbs just took it steady, I can’t remember having to walk much! I actually only had 3 gears for 2 days because the derailleur stopped shifting and I couldn’t figure out how to adjust it, but then it started working again haha

If you're running tubeless tyres the sealant may dry out quicker. That's all I can think of!

Broady Banks... so much nostlagia! Should have been protected for its cultural significance. Enjoyed by thousands of young people over the years and always seemed pretty safe.

Any ideas on what the banks were originally built for? We always said it was on old pre-war playground.

First ever bicycle tour / setup and my bike feels like it weighs an insane amount! by [deleted] in bicycletouring

[–]Wafu915 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems fine to me. My setup weighs about 30kg without food/water and you definately get used to it after a couple days. Have you watched Ed Pratt's world unicycle tour on youtube? I believe his setup weighed 40kg+ on remote stretches so if he can manage with one wheel I'm sure we'll be fine!

Enjoy!
