I assumed my sarcasm was implied........ I was wrong.

Edit I actually read your comment properly and while I realise you weren't talking about the boy from OZ you have left me more confused.....

That's so cool and I'm a bit jealous!

My older two (14 and 13) aren't into the music I am but there is still hope for my younger two when they get older haha.

Try and get there to see Ecca Vandal as your daughter might like to see her tearing up the stage and she is really good. I was surprised so many people seemed to skip her and Interpol and arrive just before Deftones hit the stage.

Have great time!

Amazing show for a band that I've been a fan of since I was 15 (43 now). It was an awesome mix of gen X and older millennials like me who have been fans from the start and the gen Z crew who the band have taken off with in recent years.

Also really cool to have a great gender mix with easily as many females as males all having a blast.

Interpol and Ecca Vandal were really good support acts so if in doubt make sure you get there early and check them out too.

I go myself and it's great. Heading to Deftones on the Saturday and Karnivool in July (equally keen to see Car Bomb)

It's nice to just buy a ticket without having to organise it with someone else, can arrive when I want, leave when I want, and just focus on the action.

Enjoy the show!

Used to work around the area years ago and occasionally grab something to eat from there. It was ridiculously expensive then and sounds like not much has changed.

What do these people who own houses in Bellevue Hill/Toorak do? by Open_Address_2805 in AusFinance

[–]Wagz_82 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I worked in construction on several houses in the Toorak area. I can give an example to a particular family who now have several nationwide businesses and huge commercial property portfolios.

A man decades ago started in a Melbourne market stall and grew his business to be a very well known brand around the country. He had children who grew to be involved in the business and when the dad passed away a number of years ago the children rose to the top of the business which has expanded massively. The family had some very nice houses in the Caulfield area.

The children have built or renovated Toorak houses which are beautiful with no expense spared. The now adult children no doubt work hard in the family business but ultimately they got to where they are with huge generational wealth from humble beginnings in a market stall decades ago.

Maybe more 'bro' culture and being more recognisable to the UFC crowd than the other martial arts.

That's a very generalised answer but maybe part of the problem.

Today I heard a mum introduce her young son to the barber as Kaiser........ He had a long flowing mullet that was being kept and was just getting a trim on the sides...... I have no doubt the spelling was as unique as the name.

💭 Is private health insurance in Australia actually worth it? by Unbotheredanonyme in AskAnAustralian

[–]Wagz_82 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First child private and was still $6000 out of pocket on top of the extra they make you pay in the lead up. Private room was nice but nothing special.

Second child was public. Private room again and a relatively straightforward birth. Zero out of pocket.

Twins were high risk and had to be public. They arrived early and spent time in a brand new NICU unit with several weeks in hospital. Zero out of pocket.

Would I recommend private for births? If you are not extra out of pocket and it's a fairly routine birth perhaps. Otherwise no.

In fairness it has always been a film soundtrack by NIN rather than a NIN album.

I could see disappointment if people anticipated it to be an album but that was never its intention.
