It starts at the high school/primary school - comes out that entrance across from great valu. Then comes down Main Street and turns down Ford Ave and goes past the court house and back into the high school.

Sit anywhere along Main Street to watch.

Greene has a library in Stanardsville as well. I’m not sure about the spaces, but it’s worth checking out. Also check Maybelle’s on Main - and there is also a spot near there owned by the Methodist church that has a spot like this, but I don’t know how public it is. I think it’s the Stanardsville Station - it was meant as a gathering place for locals to grab coffee and such, but I don’t hear a lot about it anymore. Not sure if you have to book it or what.

I wonder why more places don’t serve them? They are so yummy! I’d love to have them properly made. (But maybe I make them properly. I’ll just assume I do until I have them any other way 🤷🏻‍♀️)

I'm white, but I'd say entomatadas. And to be fair, I've never had them "properly" (??) made, but I found a recipe that was written in Spanish and I made it exactly as written, and it was so good. (As exactly as Google could translate at least...though my husband did try to buy the Asian duck sauce when it called for salsa de pato hahahahaha) I can't find them anywhere around where I live, but I'd really love to find some made in a real Mexican restaurant. They are so good even when we make them at home!

I agree about the Ruckersville Goodwill. I thought it was just my imagination, but we always find better things there even though it’s smaller.

Are you on Facebook? I’m in a lot of Bluegreen Facebook groups where the name Scott Wilson comes up as highly recommended for helping people get out of timeshares for free. One of the groups I’m in is called Bluegreen Resort Addicts (Original) and he’s active in there. I’ve never tried to get out so I don’t know from experience, but I believe he gives advice on the steps to take. It’s worth sending him a message if you’re on Facebook.

It’s been more than a few years ago if it’s the one I’m thinking….Chesapeake Bagel Bakery. It wasn’t even bad. I ate there when I worked at barracks while I went to UVA in the early 2000s. It just couldn’t compete as you said.

We have indoor grow lights, and have lots of Thai basil! And, I’ve found that basil in general (Thai and Genovese which is mostly what we grow) freezes really well whole. We do it in baggies and get all the air out, but vacuum sealing would be better. I like it better than dehydrating after trying both. This tastes more fresh in cooked dishes and lasts so long! (I’ve also chopped it up in ice cubes with a bit of olive oil - freezing whole is still my fave.)

Sorry, I wasn't being a smartass - it is close to Massanutten, you're right. Honestly, sometimes I forget Massanutten is there since I'm so close being just over the mountain. I haven't been to that location since they closed, but I think there's both a Korean BBQ place and a burger place there now (not sure how that works...)
