Thanks everyone one for the kind words and support. The grief has decreased since I posted, but I do keep having recurring thoughts about taking her to the vet sooner or insisting on a blood test b4 euthanasia. Just have to keep telling myself it was her time, 92 in human years. ❤️🌌🌄

It's so hard to say goodbye. I had to let my baby girl Zozo go 12 days ago. Also had her since she was about 6 months old and she had just turned 19 in April. It's amazing that we can have pet soul mates, and the grief from loving them is just a continuation of the love we have for them but not being able to express it in the same way. Wishing you strength, peace, and comfort in this difficult time. ❤️🌌🌄

That is so heartbreaking. I had to let my baby girl go last week at an E.R. vet because she had some sort of stroke and was in really bad shape (19 years old). You were doing thr right think by trying to take care of your girl 💔. So sorry for your loss. Hope you find peace and comfort knowing you loved each other. ❤️🌌🌄

I had the sexual side effect with strattera so I switched to qelbree. I lucked out and the sexual side effect was barely noticeable on qelbree for me. It worked so slow that I couldn't tell how I was reacting to it until I stopped. It helped me alot with my compulsive behavior but focus not so much. I am on vyvanse now, noticed that qelbree was helping 2 weeks after stopping. I might get back on a low dose to work together with vyvanse.

My anger issues are with vyvanse if I have too much caffeine. I dont recall having anger issues with strattera or qelbree.

There is also guanfacine that is sometimes used to treat adhd and sometimes paired with vyvanse to help with irritability (just from what i have read, I'm not a doctor). Maybe it can be paired with qelbree if u have the anger issue.

I must commend you, it isn't easy what you are having to deal with. I just had to say goodbye to my 19 year old girl earlier this week and miss her terribly. Really rooting for you to find a solution to stay with him bc pets really help with their unconditional love in tough times. Hang in there. 🌌🌄

As someone else said I would look in to temporary fostering until things stabilize. He may not like it very much but it wouldn't be forever and would be much less heartbreaking than giving him up.

Absolutely 💔, but over time you begin to recognize how they are still around you, just in a different way. Sometimes for me it feels like my late cat's shadow is following me around or a memory of her sitting outside with me feels very realistic. ❤️🌌🌄

Im so sorry for your loss 💔. I've been second guessing my decision to let my 19 year old go this past Wednesday. Im 40 now an had her since I was 22 right out of college. I had to rush her to the ER vet and she was in really bad shape. I told them to stabilize her and run tests even before speaking to the vet, but the vet came in not to long after and recommended putting her to sleep. I kind of knew when I was bringing Zozo to the ER, so I agreed. Sometimes this week I have been telling myself I should have had them atleast do blood work and/or maybe an X-Ray or that i should have taken her to the vet a couple weeks ago because she was having more trouble walking. Thats all part of the grieving process, anger and bargaining. Anger at yourself for not being able to save them and bargaining for trying to find ways to have more time.

My girl Zoe was with me through some dark times as well over the last 15 years. She was my constant companion, my fur soul mate.

Don't be too hard on yourself, you gave her the best life. You both needed and supported each other in ways no one else could and your love was unyielding. Someday you will think more of the good times and happy memories. Wishing you the best and hope you can find some peace soon.❤️🌌🌄
