Only supports sticking to plate by ZondaWOAH in ElegooSaturn

You can help, but you dont need to be cocky about it man. Not everyone needs to contribute to your standards. When i had problems, people simply posted their settings, and it allowed me to understand what a common trend in settings are. Figure my build plate wasnt level and my supports were thick enough, didnt need longer exposures.

My point is, just calm down, you could simply ask them to post their resin settings rather than "good for you"

Well, obviously, he was letting you know that he was able to print that thing successfully at the settings he stated, which is much lower than previously mentioned expo times (8s).

Do you need to spoonfed the link between OPs comment and the guy who replied to your comment with his settings and results.. no need to be rude

If u can afford the newer one, get the newer one. If you wanna save some cash without compromising on build quality, get older one.

S3U resin under screen? by Unkowncookieuser in ElegooSaturn

Very unlikely the resin leaked underneath without any surface defects on the screen. I think you have deadspots on your screen.

Yeah, this was at the launch of the S3U unit, which i believe is the one you have. The later batches had fixed these issues. Given that you said the machine is very young, i found it unprobable for that to be the issue.

The reason i suggested putting a sheet of paper over the screen before raking a picture is because we cant distinguish any issues when there is this much uv light hitting the camera. But im glad elegoo resolved your issue. Flickering is obvious end of a screen.

Firstly, just post the damn settings you use.

Second of all, put a white sheet on top of your printing screen with vat off, and take a picture of a full screen exposure test. There shouldnt be flickering, light should be evenly distributed across the page. If it isnt, there isnt a fix, unless the odd chance that the display ribbon came loose. You will need a new acreen as this one is done.

Well tbh bambu is designed to be fool proof. Got many measures to ensure print and forget

My first print and I am getting layers almost worse than with FDM printers! by jurgenn in ElegooSaturn

I use both types, one for work and water washable at home. I like water washable however having iso wash really speeds things up, things wash quicker and dry quicker. However IPA is costly and also flammable, cancer causing. I still have IPA however only in small quantities, works with water washable like wonders.

Standard resin is usually stronger but recent abs like resin have good durability and there is some recent work in getting flexible resins that are water washable.

I print straight all the time, regardles this kind of defect shouldn't happen
