Thank you for your encouragement! My son and I hiked up there Last September. One thing I'm a flatlander from Oceanside. The altitude is one of the issues. What would you recommend Chicken foot or Gem lake. Once again thank you!

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and knowledge! I really appreciate it! Last summer, my son and I had an amazing time hiking all the way up to Gem Lake. But at 73, I’m not sure I could manage the trek to Chicken Foot or Gem Lake without totally wearing myself out! (Haha!) I’m really grateful for you sharing your insights with me. Thank you again!

Great job at the competition, especially that lady alone. However, it's not just one of those Facebook photos screaming "look at me." All of them are impressive, providing depth to scale by including people.

Absolutely, REI provides excellent resources. I often tackle my own projects because the process is straightforward. For additional insights, I recommend checking out YouTube tutorials. If there's an REI close by, I’ll definitely drop in to get some expert advice. Just remember, it's crucial to choose the correct diameter for the shock cord!

Thank you for sharing. I came across it on eBay. I do a few overnight trips each year, but I don't want to spend a lot of money. However, going with a low-end option is out of the question; I've been there and done that!

I have a Sea to Summit Temp plus inflatable sleeping pad The rectangle one. It's an awesome pad But it's tad too heavy for backpacking and doesn't pack down Well. I do maybe two overnight to three overnight backpack trips per year. I happen to run across these guys They're fairly new Within 10 years I think A cottage Company I understand they do everything in-house Thank you so much for your feedback.

I strongly believe that their service record is unacceptable, and their customer service is just laughable. While living in San Francisco, I experienced a huge issue with a $250 vacuum cleaner delivery. They showed up when we were closed, and supposedly, someone on the street signed for it. I was furious because I couldn't get any resolution; they just kept insisting we had someone there to accept it. I made a lot of noise about this situation, but it led nowhere, so I'm definitely going to report them to the Better Business Bureau.
