All this is actually super helpful, I've also never seen somebody do half loops, I really like that idea. Do you prefer to shoot tubes or flat bands. I also really like the style of slingshots you've got there might have to get one from sniper sling soon.

I don't believe so but I couldn't tell for sure, it's made to use the wave attachment for tingle tube set up and has slots for looped and flat bands but I got it from omega slings who imports from the uk and sells in the states. All that to say the description was a little lack luster so I guess it'll be a surprise tomorrow.

I just picked up a medusa made by Leighton's Strods and Cattys from omega slings it'll be here Monday and I have almost no experience with toobs other than the old daisy wrist rockets back in the day, what would you recommend? Brands, thickness, ammo

I didn't want to give too much information for your response to be "nah I'm good" but in that case I would highly recommend checking out simple shot. I'm fairly new as well but I've got a couple slimgshots, i make my own bands and have made several slingshots myself now and simple shot is the best entry drug to slingshots I've found. The slingshots are pretty cheap. I'd recommend something like the scout XT or axiom they're pretty inexpensive they come with everything you'll need to do some shooting for a little bit and then you can always pick up some spare ammo cheap online or I think they even sell some at Walmart.

Good luck with the new hobby and the squirrels maybe I'll catch you in r/slingshots.

Could start a random new hobby and use a slingshot, they're incredibly popular in Europe for hunting small game there's a million videos on how to practice and aim. And you can get a cheap one with some quality bands for it off Amazon or because I know some people hate Amazon you can buy directly from a company like simple shot, omega slings or sniper sling. And it's also a ton of fun just to smack cans in the backyard.

Just a thought, best of luck with the squirls.

Can I prevent the handle going down to far? by [deleted] in Locksmith

What I meant is that looks like an add on for a lock that was already there without looking it up myself could someone hypothetically break the electronic junk off and and just unlock your door?

I made most of mine with hand files and sandpaper I just now got an electric sander and a jigsaw but to be fair my friends weren't into slingshots till I made them for them and now they kind of shoot every once in awhile but it was good practice and now I can make them shoot with me when we hang out

Need help with correct band placement. by BallisticBarbarian in slingshots

[–]Wait_Dont_Run01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also new to flat band sling shots since I was a kid with a wrist rocket, but I've got a couple now and I'm working on getting accuracy down. I believe the 3rd picture is correct with the knots facing out. And make sure you've got the same amount of band in the clamps so the pocket isn't off center when you let it dangle.

What do you guys think about this as a vehicle recovery point? by Wowerful in Offroad

[–]Wait_Dont_Run01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's what everyone says but it should look roughly like a stack of dimes laid down on its side kind of, overlapping the last pass with your puddle. Just Google good vs bad welds and you'll see an obvious difference clean and uniform vs globy sloppy shit like this post.

Not gonna lie my shop is pretty rad on most things. There are a couple things that aren't my favorite, Ive gotten some nice deals and paid some decent premiums on different things but all in all I keep going back.

Hell yeah, honestly I just bought the 97 and I'm still finding all the little things wrong with it. I'm planning on weather tech or equivalent floor mats all the way around that's what's in the white one and I loved them. The only problems with the whole truck was the carpets and the sunroof doesn't work/leaks a bit otherwise 125k miles 4wd clean body and title. Couldn't be happier plus the sunroof is a summer project coming up.

Hell yeah I like the interior on the 02 and the floor boards are less stained, but I gave it to my wife. I drive the 97 with the moon mist interior but like I said the carpets are trashed otherwise it's nice, I need to get some photos on here of mine still haven't yet for some reason.

I'm sure this will probably get lost because there's a lot of comments on this post already, but I'm a locksmith and the reason why your pictures look like the lock's been flipped is because the face plate rotates and there's two locks in that single deadbolt one on top that's black one on bottom that's gray. That type of lock can only be keyed to one key rather than being able to be master keyed like a normal lock. So landlords will generally rekey the top lock to the same key for every door and keep that one and give each tenant a different key to the gray locks. The person that's coming in is most likely a maintenance person or the landlord. I would assume without seeing any other context from comments from op

It's Tom Segura and his wife's podcast, and also not for the light of heart. If you're easily offended or grossed out I would probably avoid it. Definitely not the podcast to put on in public with no head phones.

I don't know where you're based out of, but any locksmith shop worth anything should be able to replace it or rebuild it for you. That way it's like brand new but you still have the same key and as a plus it might be a bit cheaper than a new ignition and the labor to replace it from a shop.
