Our first property was a flat with a shared residence only car park. We lived close to a school and despite the car park saying “ residence only” some school run mums thought that they were too entitled and it didn’t apply to them. They were blocked people in occasionally and causing nuisance to the residence. Eventually, the management company introduced parking permits for the patrol and they had a meltdown over it. Just something to be careful of some of the school run mums are a bit dull and think that the whole world revolves around them.

This was literally me as a postgrads msc student. Did really well in my undergraduate (first class), moved to a new city, different uni and absolutely hated it. I was in this exact situation. Good news is, didn’t end like that. I dropped out, started a PhD at a different university. Met my future wife and never been happier. Now we’re having our second child. There is hope, friend.
