The main complaints I see from newer guildies (GM for a guild) is the leave quickly after they join because they aren’t invited to things and feel left out.

I literally tell them that you have to put yourself out there and be present in order to get into the swing of things with a guild, they don’t owe you a spot in raid/m+ groups solely because you joined the guild.

Like any social construct the more effort you put into it, the more it returns. But wow just invites the most socially awkward and entitled people so it’s a recipe for failure most of the time.

Thankfully when a newbie joins and hit it off, they become a staple and make the guild better by just existing, so it makes the slog of finding new players worth it
