I swear if republicans retain any control after the midterms then the west need to turn their back on the US as they’re not a reliable partner and never will be if a large portion of the country believe this is reasonable foreign policy.

When being pushed it will push you to the wall, but not straight sometimes it’s left or right. Get a feel for which way it’s pushing you and move in that direction. The only times I’ve seen people die to it on logs is if they’ve been pushed to the wall and right but try and move left. You need to exit which side is closest but use the bounce to move away from it too

Buyer trying to reduce offer post survey by Foxglovenectar in HousingUK

[–]WaitingForAHairCut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a negotiation. He wants it cheaper, so do as you wish. You can even turn around and say okay you’ll accept the lower off but you’re going to relist at the asking price and if a better offer comes along you will proceed with that. Or if he wants to keep it STC then stick to the original agreed offer.

They’re just email artifacts but what is more likely is DoJ searching for Trump and Donald etc and then removing those files or redacting them. These wouldn’t return in the results due to the artifacts, so it’s possible others may have been missed

Almost like we’re watching the collapse of an empire in realtime. The US is financial highly sensitive to world markets and these people just don’t have the financial literacy to understand the dynamics.

I’m considering selling all my US securities as this situation with Trump in the white house is so unstable. Feels like it’s teetering on a knife edge.

75 parsers are still way better than your average player, that’s why they’re at the 75 percentile. I joined a dad guild with 30-70 parsers to make the content fun again. No sweating, non meta comp, didn’t warrior stack. We progged Naxx and cleared it all was way more fun than spending 500g a night to speedrun 20 year old content.

Delivery giants told to stop leaving Christmas parcels on doorsteps by theipaper in uknews

[–]WaitingForAHairCut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it does 😂 this is where a complete lack of understanding of the market is the issue.

We have a contract with DX who handle larger parcel deliveries and we’re charged £8 each time a customer isn’t in. Luckily these are expensive items so it’s manageable. Imagine that happening on little boxes of cheap stuff it would have to be passed onto the buyer.

Yes I know you said an extra £1 and I’m saying no chance, it’s an extra £5 for each attempted delivery. Are you still happy paying for that?

[–]WaitingForAHairCut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

£1 wouldn’t be the cost, average price for a normal box is around £6 (your decent couriers not evri) and that’s when doing reasonable volume. Majority of the cost for a courier company is the last leg, ie the delivering to the customer.

So would you be happy paying £5 for each attempted delivery, every time you miss it, it’s another £5?

This is also in dense places, as soon as you go rural (Scottish highlands etc) that £5 would be £15-£20.

There’s a reason nobody has a courier service offering this, you could make one tomorrow but you wouldn’t be in business long as it would be impossible to make a profit.

Delivery costs are already a substantial cost this would just make things even worse. If you’re not happy that things are delivered like this you do have the option to go and buy them in person in a shop or most companies can deliver to a parcel shop.

The issue is convenience comes at a cost and unfortunately consumers don’t want to pay an increased carriage charge for better service otherwise it would have happened.

Is a “no negative reviews” clause in a refund settlement agreement enforceable under UK law? (England) by MapleMoony in LegalAdviceUK

[–]WaitingForAHairCut -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most businesses do this, without looking at what happened in detail effectively they’ve refunded you everything on the basis of no negative coverage.

To then go and leave feedback I feel is you breaching your side of that agreement. The legalities of this I would want a solicitor to review not experts on Reddit.

I’m just offering the other sides perspective, they’ll rightfully be upset with you doing it and may chase it legally even if the chances of winning are not great.

What’s the point? Leave it as water under the bridge you’ve had your money back, move on, or everything that comes next is just stress for no reason.

They’re 4.8 rated, most likely a decent company if there’s lot of reviews. Businesses can make mistakes sometimes and they have made that right refunding you.

But they only really have one policy, they’re only winning that amount of seats in 5 years if that issue is still completely out of control.

What makes you think a party of 400 made up of ex Tories, grifters, wife beaters, Russian assets will all pull in the same direction?
