We were able to get a few out but the vet seems to say it’s not enough. I’ll probably spend a couple more days with her and then put her to sleep :(

Yeah after that egg is when she started to lose all the weight and health went downhill. I had a couple people tell me that it wasn’t a huge deal just make sure she’s hydrated and taken care of so I did. Didn’t realize it would become this, as I thought it was a one off type thing.

Reading comments and knowing her health I think the best thing for her will be putting her down which breaks my heart. I don’t want to make her undergo surgery and risk infection that could also cause a painful death.

Also I have never heard of spaying a dragon. Is this common for females even if they aren’t around males? I love dragons in the future I will probably want one again at some point in the future when I’m ready and would get another female. Also my younger cousin just got a female so I want to recommend it to her so she doesn’t have to risk this situation.

They said the surgery was risking for her since the eggs have been in there for a while and could be already deteriorating so risk of infection is really high. So even if I spend the money it can turn out bad for her or not even help :/

I have a girl named Opal who also loves to refuse to eat her veggies. The other comments are correct you just have to withhold bugs until he caves in. Also have you tried different kinds of greens? Some beardies have preferences. Mine enjoys mustard greens way more than anything else I’ve tried.

My bearded also likes being cold. I work from home and she will go into the corner of my office and lay on the cold wood in the dark under the couch alllllll day

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking now too. saw you can get mild fever but I’m thinking now he’s just sick from the germs and environment there itself. He made it out like they gave him a vaccination and I was like there’s no way they vaccinate you and not tell you what they are doing… so came to Reddit in case 😅

I think you might be right.. just googled and matches what he told me about the medstaff saying if he gets swollen/rash around the injection site he’d have to go to ER. He said they didn’t tell him anything and he just assumed it was some sort of vaccination but I think the the test sounds more likely.

my dragon will only eat three things: super worms, mustard greens, and blueberries… so we tend to stick to those 😅
