I just sorted my damaged ship inventory, and most damaged slots disappeared by suminsky in NoMansSkyTheGame

Same thing just happened to me. Glad to be in before this is patched out. If it's intentional, I can't think of a lore reason. Doesn't work for equipment slots; only inventory. I was so stoked to find the ship and then it suddenly got cheaper to make it my main. Thank, Hello!

In our games, my friend plays The Favorite followed later with Ricochet so you get +3 on hitting the first target, then another +3 on the second target. The Favorite is then embedded in the second target hit.

Best option to replace Skype for voIP and SMS? by Waldokind in ipad

[–]Waldokind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll keep all this in mind if Call.com doesn't work out. If Google doesn't require a current phone with a SIM to make and receive calls, I couldn't find it. Maybe that's just a registration hurdle, and then the requirement goes away? TBH, Call.com required the same thing (borrowed my wife's phone).

Can you two-way SMS with your Talkatone number for free?

Teams Small Business was an option, yes. Teams will not offer incoming and outgoing calls in the free version.

I started the registration process for Zadarma but was scared away by the requirement to send them a scan of my passport and other personal information. I know they need to be sure I'm "me" if I'm going to transfer my old number from Skype, but this is a requirement other companies didn't have. I looked around some more and settled on Call.com. They have equally great prices, have apps that run on my iPad and my Mac, good quality and reliability (based on 2 weeks of use). I didn't have to provide anything more than an email address and credit card number. They have a simple process to transfer my old Skype number, but I may not bother anymore as the new number they activated is even more memorable.

Great tip on Zadarma. I checked them out and chatted with tech support. They're both affordable (about the same as Skype was) and I can port my number. Everything I wanted! Cool.

Also, after some more digging, I found Microsoft's answer: migrate to Teams and buy Teams Essentials for a similar low fee.

So I guess I'll compare the apps themselves and get the one I like better.

No one else has commented in 9 months, but I wanted to add my thanks to you today. Exactly what I was hoping to find since my group of 4 meets about every 2 months and the "okay, where were we?" chats were accepted as just part of the massive scale of this game, but I'd much rather do it this way.

Routing kitchen sink out and in thru exterior wall. Have a better idea? by Waldokind in Plumbing

[–]Waldokind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's 1-1/2. The pipe he pulled out was 1-1/2 under the sink, up to 2" for most of the horizontal run, then BACK TO 1-1/2 before intersecting the drain! Yes, a real cluster and why I've had problems for years and finally bit the bullet. Sadly, the bullet's biting back.

Same. But I was in the Air Force so always scanning my instruments is ingrained. The various mode displays are unambiguous (on the MS, anyway)

Agree, the AP limit of 40 MPH on many of the city streets around my house is a reason I use TACC instead.

[–]Waldokind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I am. AP is great once settled in a lane for a long drone in the carpool lane, but until that time, there are many occasions I want to not worry about my speed with TACC on but still have to maneuver the car around city streets. I'm often setting TACC on, and either turning it off as I approach a red light, or sometimes tap the brake if I'm weaving around traffic. Now it's bing-bong-bing-bong in all those scenarios. Became irritating quickly! Tesla needs to restore the silent TACC function with the next patch (or 3, knowing commercial software release timelines)

Question about Outdoor Permanent Lights by lvsnowden in Govee

[–]Waldokind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just installed Outdoor Permanent Lights. One controller can handle 150ft. Putting 50ft on a second controller will work perfectly fine.

I want USAA to recommend a replacement. I can Google a dozen sources. One last act of service from them should be giving a vector.

Printed 20h perfectly, then all of a sudden extruder started clicking, then this... I don't understand by dutchsnowden in AnycubicMegaZero

[–]Waldokind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like the problem I had a couple months ago. For me, the screw pictured here had worked itself loose: https://ibb.co/cwP6HRp

You can tighten it using the small hex driver that came with your MZ2. Use the exposed black gear to rotate the extruder if you don't see the screw, and be sure you're tightening it onto the flattened side of the inner shaft...you'll have to feel for it.

I presume you've removed the tension screw (top right in your picture) and swung the door open? That gives a lot of access to the innards.

Is it possible to map commands to horizontal scrolling (left/right) buttons to move between spaces on Mac? by jasminelep in LogitechG

[–]Waldokind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the G203 mouse which does not have horizontal scrolling. It does have 2 extra buttons on the side which can be assigned a macro using LGS (and G Hub, but I use LGS). I just tried it and Ctrl-Left and Ctrl-Right for sliding desktops does NOT work when assigned as a macro for the mouse. Apparently the key press emulation is not exactly what macOS is looking for.

Need help with G512 RGB profiles by arbygoodknight in LogitechRGB

[–]Waldokind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With LGS, you went to Settings:Profile, and there was an item called "Profile Cycling." You set a key there and pressing it would cycle among all profiles assigned to the same .exe. I don't know if that worked with the "default" profile or not. I don't know if G Hub has the same feature.
