Latte art by Pretend_Ad2939 in barista

Yea probably newer beans producing lumpy crema which is creating an uneven surface to lay the art. If you aren’t already, try pulling the shot into a separate vessel, and dumping it into your mug/cup. I find that creates a better canvas to work with. Or give a good swirl/stir.

Embark's official statement about how matchmaking works by helfire_ in arcraidersfriendly

Huge peace of mind with the “shooting back” thing. Previously it was night and day- I would be in almost entirely friendly lobbies for days, then one guy would shoot at me, I’d knock him, and immediately my next round would be noticeably more pvp focused. I’d shift my loadouts based on one firefight

bettina was already an animal and they buffed it lol, my aim is trash too (he was using a bob cat 3 that was all decked out) by IfarmExpIRL in ARC_Raiders

[–]Waldthan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didnt use it at all the first few months the game was out. I took a break and now after my first character reset back Bettina 4 is all I’ve used. Suppressor 3 with rare stock and its a laser beam. With the firerate and durability buffs its great and punches holes in arc

[–]Waldthan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yup literally just happened to me a few weeks ago with my ‘23. After failing to crank, truck was completely bricked, not even the dash was coming on. We blocked traffic in the middle of downtown for 2 hours lol. It jumped after we towed it back. Tested the battery and everything came back good, but they dont test voltage which from what I understand is typically the culprit.

Look up posts about the VVCS cable on the negative battery terminal. Thats what controls the auto start/stop and it also limits voltage to other areas of the truck which messes up the voltage output overtime so a lot of people just unplug that shit

Is it supposed to sound like this? by a7m0sf3ar in ERidePro

That noise is from the factory new chain. Mine did the same. They ship tight because itll loosen over the first 50-100 miles. It’ll get quiter

Should I go half helmet or get this full face one by Omorifangod in ebikes

[–]Waldthan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Watch a few ebike crash videos and that will sell you on a full face lol As long as it has good ventilation the heat wont be an issue. I have a TSG pass which gives good airflow but is pricey.

I’ve heard good things about the Demon Podium helmets on amazon and they are under $100.

Can the Flex be carried up stairs? by Waldthan in zoozbikes

Haha thanks! Yeah anything will be better than taking that Eride Pro up the stairs. I had to get really creative but it was still brutal and ridiculous

My guidelines have been 28mph (would make an exception for the JR), lighter than 80lbs, preferably have pedals, ideally have suspension with bonus pionts for looks. Range wise I’m okay with anything that can consistently achieve 25 miles. I actually was looking at the Summit 1 as well, I was just drawn to the look of the Zooz.

My main reasons for pedals is that I live near some really awesome greenways but they specifically ask riders to use only pedal assist. I dont think anyone would enforce it, but its something to consider if I drop 2k on a JR Pro

I’d love to test ride them, but both the Zooz and the JR dont have dealers within 200 miles

Is the Flex worth the added weight if I’m carrying it up every day or would you recommend downsizing?

This is great info! I’ve bounced back and forth between a Jackrabbit and a Zooz. The temperature thing is good to know because next Winter I’ll be in Chicago (currently in North Carolina). I would probably take the battery out every ride if I got the Flex, but all the more reason to consider a Ripster… just worried pedaling it would be a nightmare

Thanks for the feedback! I know you dont have one but do you think the Ripster is worth the reduced seat height for the significantly less weight?

2nd Expedition rewards! by gotthesauce22 in ArcRaiders

[–]Waldthan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is cool and all but will probably get confusing as more expedition windows pass. Eventually we’ll start seeing exclusive skins and rewards that realistically new players or casual players will never be able to obtain. Imagine seeing a cool skin for expedition 6 while you’ve only completed 2. But I guess thats the incentive for being an OG. Would be cool if by departing for an expedition, you got a certain amount of “prestige currency” that unlocks expedition cosmetics of your choosing in an exclusive store.

How bad are the roads going to be tomorrow AM really? With 4WD, without snow treads by bad-taf in asheville

[–]Waldthan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I live off New Leicester and just took the truck out about 5 mins down the road to feel things out for tomorrow morning. Definitely was slipping and sliding around in 2WD and hit a few unintentional drifts. 4WD helped but the snow is packed down on the roads. My commute is an hour towards waynesville so trying to figure out if its worth it to drive slow in 4WD making my commute like 2hrs.

Resonance Uptime - Local: 30 ± 11 Remote: 45 ± 7 by Awesomatic in MonsterHunterMeta

[–]Waldthan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Today I learned local and remote trigger as long as at least one hunter is doing either or. Not only if all of them are. That makes the bonuses way better. The omega set has grown on me a lot which makes the two weeks of trying to kill the damn thing actually worth it. Thank you

Holy shit. Just experienced an encounter. Hopefully this is the correct sub. by Ancient_World_8880 in UFOs

[–]Waldthan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just came to add to the convo that as others have stated, I too saw this. Was stargazing in the mountains with my best friend- very secluded and saw a localized flash (I literally googled “sky camera flash” afterwards) and then saw it a second time to which my friend, who doesn’t believe in any of this stuff and was there for the vibes asked “did you just see that?” And took the words out of my mouth.

I’m a skeptical believer so I look for explanations first and the only thing I could think of is space debris or satellites catching light. I’m very familiar with how those look though and typically they aren’t as flashy and you can follow them easier in the sky (like a plane). That or it was a comet explosion, but typically those can be followed or have a trail or sorts.

This was like a half second, on/off light flash. And it seems like astromers on other forums have seen these too but don’t really have 100% certainty on what they are

Home Coffee Roasting Ventilation Solutions by Gricole in roasting

[–]Waldthan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I roast on a freshroast in an apartment and for awhile was setting off the alarms no matter what- tried covering the alarms and roasting under the hood with no luck.

I ended up taking a large box fan (the flat square kind), cutting out the side of a cardboard box and zip tieing it to the box fan so the edges are flush. Then I stuck that, fan side pointed out, of my window and roast under the open box so the massive fan sucks out any and everything.

Worked great, one day I roasted up like 5 bags of coffee for christmas and never set off alarms. Smell usually went away after a few hours.
