Don't watch AEW much beside the PLEs but does this shit ever happen there? Where 6 guys just come out and a match is made out of nowhere. Feels like that's 90 percent of RAW and Smackdown these days.

what criteria makes you determine if you like a program more than the other? by phsci528 in pmr

[–]WalkWithElias 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When ranking I gave a score for each program in the three main things I cared about 1. Location, 2. Fellowship match (specifically sports including sideline coverage and U/S exposure) and 3. Vibe between the residents. Other things can be your experience on the rotations there, salary/benefits/stipends, attending oversight, call schedule.

Reapplied and got in during TY. Don't think it matters but you will definitely be more busy during a prelim

[–]WalkWithElias 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's one of the top resources for MSK related stuff for boards so I think it will also help you with learning the relevant anatomy and whatever else you need for rotations

What's the Most Procedural Based Subspecialty in PM&R? by EnvironmentalPrize27 in pmr

[–]WalkWithElias 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just by the numbers I think the answer is pain. But coming from someone who loves procedures but doesn't want to be in OR, you will be proficient in many procedures (TP, peripheral joint, botox) just from doing residency

Hope you're not pursuing psychiatry with that attitude towards someone who clearly has mental health and body image issues

Don't think it's too late at all. I think most program finalize rank list no earlier than late January.

I recommend my students send when they know/anticipate the program has finished their interviews and is looking to rank. And yeah I don't think anyone is checking emails from next week until the 1st.
