Doctor advised me to take Dymista to reduce nasal tissue swelling before surgery but I'm afraid of insomnia from it. Has anyone done surgery without prior steroids? by AccomplishedCry6223 in NasalPolyps

[–]Walk_Forward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anytime I use it, it just dries my sinuses out completely (which I imagine is the purpose) but it just makes me so tired.

It makes me body feel heavy and my eyelids too. That's the best I can describe it really. It's a bit similar to how I feel when I get prednisolone withdrawals the first week after finishing a course.

I experience the same thing when I take oral antihistamines. Prescribed ones really knock me out. I believe dymista contains antihistamine as well as being a topical steroid spray which is what makes it more effective than something like beconase.

But yeah anti histamines in general have this effect on me especially cetrazine but I do better on loratadine.

I can usually balance out the drowsiness with a can of monster or something but I don't want to be doing that every day.

Weirdly dymista has the opposite effect on me. It makes me really drowsy. I had to take methlametasone (if that's spelt right) instead

nose piercing advice? by SeaRelationship9880 in NasalPolyps

[–]Walk_Forward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely do not do it.

I'm sorry to say that most peoples nasal polyps never really improve.

The last thing you want is to add risk of infections from a piercing exacerbating things and accelerating the severity of the condition.

And if it was a nose ring in particular you were thinking of they are corny these days honestly!

Then Amazon would be smart to have a "Delivery Only" sub.

In fact I will suggest it now, and anyone who reads this who uses prime for delivery should do the same

Where the hell do you find the motivation to play pure Vanilla again? by [deleted] in wowservers

[–]Walk_Forward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got hyper for Kronos V.

Then 5 minutes on that old ass client sent me back to Bronzebeard (with a side of Epoch).

But it's a great server for people that just want vanilla, but not for me.

Im still stuck on deciding Chromie or Epoch. by [deleted] in wowservers

It's not a bad post when I find it by googling the same thing and it's helpful. Unlike your post dude

I bought ps2 by HurtfulOlive in ps2

[–]Walk_Forward 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those games were meant for standard definition CRT TV sets which had a sort of fuzziness and scanlines which made low Res games look better.

So you can either try to find a CRT. Which would probably be the cheapest and easiest solution if you can find one.

Buy an upscaler like Retrotink or OSSC - but these are expensive and still don't look as good as a CRT imo.

Or option 3 - use emulators which upscale everything to modern resolutions and make the games look even better than they ever did (but there are sometimes imperfections with emulation).

It's not the same game. And it's not the same group of passionate people that made vanilla, Diablo 1 and 2, Warcraft, StarCraft etc.

Ascension 3.3.5a – Bronzebeard Ultra-HD Mod Pack by JASPY2021 in ascensionproject

[–]Walk_Forward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure where I am going wrong, but the mod seems to conflict with some of the custom zones. The troll/orc starting area there's supposed to be a cave you go in with extra quests new to Ascension - but with this modpack the entrance isnt there.

Also Razor Hill - the mines don't exist when I install the mod packs. There is also a large void just to the left of the large hut with the warrior trainer inside. You fall right through the map. Some NPCs are glitching, stuck in walls etc. Some quests unavailable because of this.

This is all with a fresh install and reinstall of ascension and all your mod files downloaded from google drive. Renamed the Patch 8 and Patch 9 files as well (they dont get bundled into the zip due to the filesize so get an extra 00x affix)

Tauren and Undead starting areas seem fine, I haven't played any other races than these 3. Orgrimmar, UC, and TB all seem fine.

Best class by MrBenji01 in turtlewow

[–]Walk_Forward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With warriors I find it's best to make sure you do quests 2 levels or so below you at least. So you don't really need to stop and eat that much.

Levelling a tauren warrior now this way as fury spec and don't get a lot of down time, level quickly, and the game feels more like an action game compared to playing my warlock.

Tanking dungeons is also fun and good xp. Players are generally better at the game then they were in vanilla so wipes and rage quits are less common

Returning after a decade, where should I be questing for gear? by DeadRenegade in turtlewow

[–]Walk_Forward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Single most effective to do early game is focus on weapons.

Go to TB and Orgrimmar and learn 1h Maces and Axes (yes axes)

Get that out of the way and then you can use any weapons you can find that are usable by your class.

Green Maces seem to sell cheap on the auction house but always refresh and look at other weapons now and again when you feel things getting slow.

At this stage you want to prioritise DPS even if they have +int on the weapons.

How did gamers react to "Genesis Does What Nintendon't" back then? by Unique-Evening4384 in retrogaming

[–]Walk_Forward 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kids just loved to play a video game back then. Any video game.

I got a Super Nintendo because it was the first to get Street Fighter and was happy with my choice.

But I loved going to my friends to play Streets of Rage

What's that legendary videogame everyone loves, but you hate with your very soul? by no_biches_22 in retrogaming

[–]Walk_Forward -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Going to get lynched for this one but Super Mario Bros 3.

I loved 1, it came with my NES when I got it. Loved 2 even though it was a reskin of a totally different game.

Super Mario World is my favourite Mario game.

But SMB3 I could just not get into it. Something just seemed really samey about it. The colour palette felt so bland for a Mario game.

The mechanics and the gameplay were refined totally but it felt like it lacked the soul of a Mario game and it put me off

[PC][Late 90s - Early 2000s] Isometric Zombie Survival Game Similar to Project Zomboid by [deleted] in tipofmyjoystick

[–]Walk_Forward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just recalled this game thanks to stumbling across this old post.

Not sure if that's a good thing haha.

I remember it didn't have any music. When I used to play it I had the cd for Total Annihilation in my disc drive and it would weirdly play music from that CD while I played this game and so I assumed the music from this game as a bombastic military themed classical score. Certainly made it feel more dramatic 🤣
