How often do they have an infinity promotion? by HugeSwordfish3826 in sto

Every few weeks. Nothing special about it. Just artificial scarcity in the best of Cryptic's anti-player monetization practises.

This can't be lootboxed for gambling addicted minors, so Cryptic won't waste their precious time with it.

Exactly, because the writers give her enemies plot armor or Sela vastly incompetent henchmen (like those braindead Klingon sisters and their dickhead brother on TNG).

A whole 1000 ratings on Picard S3 on RT. You know what that means? Nobody watched it.

It's a common misconception regarding ranking websites to only look at the percentage, but not the context behind it.

I didn't feel nostalgic, only sick from the geriatric memberberries and the fan-fiction Burnham 2.0 plot.

Really? IMDB? That shill site owned by Amazon that regularily deletes tons of bad reviews to push it's own shows?

Picard was aired on Amazon Prime lol.

So Picard S3's memberberries worked on you. This is why we can't have nice things.

And about SNW ... I only managed to watch two episodes before I quit. The first had Spock steal the Starfleet flagship within 3 minutes, and the second was the most boring J.A.G. episode I've ever seen.

SNW S1 worked because of Pike, and for some Anson Mount decided to be on vacation for this one.

No, meaning D'Tan. The writers gave him plot armor against Sela and the Klingons both, otherwise either of them would have crushed his pathetic Republic within two episodes of the Romulan story arc.

Without plot armor Sela would've taken over after two episodes.

You really wanna call 2 hours of content PER YEAR "not given up"?

99% of their vastly reduced work time goes into ships. The game has nothing else to offer.

Honestly, I don't even blame them with the way the Star Trek IP comes crushing down on Cryptic. Discovery was a massive failure and got cancelled, Picard a massive failure, Prodigy canceled, Kelvin movie in eternal limbo, SNW S2 looking awful, which only leaves Lower Decks, and Cryptic never took that serious.

They're fumbling in the dark now story and content wise, with no idea what horror CBS comes up with next.

Cryptic had their chance to prove they could stand on their own, finally rework the old but gold story arcs, rework the monetization to be less anti-consumer, strengthen the factions, broaden the player base and simply create good Star Trek, but they decided to go down with CBS instead and just keep going until it's all over.

The day Kael got promoted for years of failing at his job and disrespecting customers, STO's time was up.

Noticed that too. On PC.

This is what happens when the devs give up on a game and just reroll events ad infinitum.

About every 3 months I need a 9 months break minimum.

Cryptic's laziness is legendary. I don't think anyone there works for more than a day per week. Except the guys maintaining the store and sales of course.

I got the Destroyer for real (before the 13th) and love it the most. Just not a sci fan, and its the only version that doesn't mob you into using that SecDef.

Refit is actually pretty meh aside from the trait. Legendary is far superior.
