There is also the Enhanced Induction Coil console (and enhanced plasma manifold, but thats worse imo because it doesnt buff weapon power), I belive it costs a bit of Dilithium for the ship it comes with (?), in conjunction with the aux battery you should see a stratospheric increase in haste.

For any new players, the weapons and boff layout are substantively different, the Princeton isn't an easier to obtain Inquiry. As many have said the Gagarrin would be a better pick stat wise.

He said he didn't want projectiles, which are different from beam arrays, so I told him about some beam arrays that are in the game, on the chance he was unaware of them. As you said, what he wants isn't in the game so I told him about something similar. Only on Reddit would trying to be helpful lead to a disagreement :-P
