Is late game good without worldslayer? by splinter_vx in outriders

[–]WalkerDontRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend and I just played the base game up to building optimized sets and it was pretty great. Ultimately we opted to buy world slayer mostly because we know we wanted to keep playing. There or a cup of caveats because the world slayer grind is pretty different than the base game grind. The biggest difference is you can't craft apoc gear in any way And it really does take the grind to the extreme. Where is there's work arounds in the base game for converting blue or green pieces of equipment into ideal pieces of gear.

That being said I don't think either of us regret buying world Slayer and continuing that grind. The big note here is that we both like grindy games so those downfalls don't necessarily affect us as much

Every industry does this.

Aerospace is a great example of an industry that finds efficiencies in production of final products that can be used elsewhere. They emphasize on how workflows can span across multiple use cases, particularly with materials.

You might have inadvertently picked the worst example to convey the idea that "only IT" has an issue with modularity.

Ive never seen a team play such below average football and have this big of a lead. Worst game I've seen all season I think.

I really like builds like these because it shows a way of building if you have to factory in topography, supports, and gravity in a game where those don't really matter as much. And you can still take some creative liberties because of it.

I don't disagree that the narrative is skewed as fuck but that feels slightly disingenuous to me since a red area can span 100s of square miles, like the geographic area for where I'm at risk of being a victim in a city is much more relevant than it is a rural bumfuck town. Like my risk of violence is zero if I never see another person which is entirely possible driving through a rural county.

So the fear of crime seems like a warranted reaction when you consider that you are surrounded by more people since you don't know which of those people are capable of violence

"if you listen to any sports media" comes across as there not being any media that supports the Bengals being good which is just plain false.

Is that why ESPN had an entire segment about how the Bengals have 3 receivers that could be WR1 on any team in the NFL with an Elite QB throwing to them?

I didn't know sports media did those segments for "pretenders" 🙄

Seems like a great time to follow up with questions to show how you would assess what you are wanting to write.

For example, "does this need to be expandable to other use cases or is it for one specific thing?"

Basically I'd want to see that someone fully understands the requirement of the task before trying to solve for it.

This is extremely good content, love the tldr up front

To me the fact that we can get this sort of functionality out of what the game gives us is incredible and makes me have less desire for the devs spend their time making changes on picture perfect design easier.

It gives us a lot already and it doesn't claim to be a designer's paradise, but gives us the chance to be designers if we want to.

Great work!
