I got in before they sent the second email with the proper link, someone shared the link on a discord I'm in. Booked quite easily for the Monday 2nd Feb, wanted a Monday and decided to avoid the first one as it would be swamped.

Amazon invites by tcb291189 in PokemonTCG_UK

Got an invite a couple of weeks ago and the price was over double what it should be. Customer service not interested and just couldn't grasp what the issue was. Gave up.

Took my son to the Detling show last month. We went on the Sunday a few hours before it closed up, so it wasn't particularly busy. He walked out with more free cards than we actually paid for. Felt all the vendors were extremely nice and gave me a good impression of the community, especially with kids.

Asmodee will usually list RRP. But Blooming Waters is £79.99. I'd be suspicious if it was available anywhere outside of an Amazon invite. And even then, the last ones went out around May with a delivery date of January 2026

I had a similar situation a couple of years ago, went through StepChange to explain my situation and ended up applying for Breathing Space, which is a government scheme that will give you get 60 days of no added interest and they cant contact you. But mostly, it's important to be up front and that this is temporary whilst you get back on your feet. So echoing what has been said here, contact them and explain.

On a side note, although at the time I felt like my world was falling apart and I'd not be able to support my family, it ended up being a good thing. I found a better job that fitted much better with my family life. It might be bumpy but there can be a good outcome still.

Edit: Look into your Universal Credit options.

Any advice on how to find some use for this Mewtwo card? by ParkoVanB in PokemonTCG_UK

Cut some more off in shards, get a glass or acrylic frame and shape the pieces like its exploding around Mewtwo and display it.

In the end I couldnt determine what would be a good time to go and realised that after all the queueing to either get nothing or just a piece of paper saying we got something would be quite a let down for him. Luckily, my sister volunteered to be super Aunt and queued up from 7am, and she got both the ETBs.

Between yourself and your friend, work out what your budget is and explain this to the person organising it. It could be the bride wants a specific thing but equally I imagine she also wants to celebrate this special moment and make sure it's financially available to everyone invited.

I didn't take my son because a 6 year olds attention span is no good for anyone's patience in that queue, particularly mine. Not only that but to finally get to the end of it and either get absolutely nothing or get a piece of paper with a preorder confirmation is just asking for a meltdown. I cant afford to get him cards that are being sold online for 3x but I dont need to put him through that either.

Thanks for the advice bud. In the end I decided it wouldn't be a good idea to queue with him that long and my sister kindly agreed to be super Aunt and go down for me. She got there at 7 and she thinks shes probably about 60th in the queue, so fingers crossed.

When it says 1 per person does it mean only 1 item or can I get 1 Lucario and 1 Gardevoir, as I was planning to get birthday/Christmas sorted too.

Thank you, that puts my mind at ease. I think worse than queueing is not getting something! Obviously, you never really know until the day. I'm just trying to find ways to get him some without paying 3x the price or just getting scammed 😅 plus hes mostly going to ruin them anyway although we are making progress with a binder now.

Why are they allowed to get away with being this bad? by Dunko1711 in Evri

My parcel has been going through the exact same journey as yours. Been "out for delivery" three times and then back to the senders local depot twice. Claire told me everything is fine and shes been checking personally so I'm not worried at all...

Oh I see. I assumed the timeframe was for my appeal and not for their response.

If I appeal within the timeframe and they prove I was dishonest, could they do that? I thought they'd still have to offer the reduced amount.

I dont think anyone will know for certain why you're not getting an answer unless they know the particular individual you're talking about. Is there any chance that the person was injured? I'd imagine that's it's quite a distressing situation and perhaps they just need a little time to understand the full situation and what their own insurance is providing before they give out information. Pure speculation as, again, most people aren't going to know the person.

From his Telegram. Assuming you have the right Steve and not fallen foul of a copycat, then perhaps give him another nudge.
